The campground is meticously kept. Very nice campground with plenty of flatish land to ride bikes around. The firewood is small and expensive (like every other state park). Drive around and buy from somewhere else (there's a spot at the top of a hill, but can't remember where). Don't chance the parks health by bringing your own. There are a lot of campsites that are not good for tents, so if you can, drive around and check them out. There are some grassy sites if rain is expected. They also do not tolerate loud behavior after quiet time ~ my warning for the drinkers.

We just returned from a great vacation in Hocking Hills, Logan Ohio, near Columbus. We camped at the Scenic View Campground, which was a great place to stay and right in the middle of everything, yet tucked away on top of a hill. The owners were very helpful and friendly and everything was sparkling clean. There are so many natural wonders to see that you don't expect in Ohio. The area is very hilly and the state land is beautiful. All of the parks are free - thank you Ohio!! There are beautiful hikes to various huge rock formations and waterfalls. Don't miss anything. Don't miss the Rocky Mountain store nearby.
