“A Lima tradition”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2013

The Kewpee (or "the naked baby restaurant" as a visiting comedian called it) is a Lima tradition and the tradition is really alive at the old, diner style location uptown at Market and Elizabeth. You need to try this location at lease once. In addition to the burgers, the fries and pies are great.

“Need I say more?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

hey it's the Kewpee. Downtown is still the best. People come home from years away and its the first place they go to.

“Kewpee Hamburgers of Lima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Kewpee is a big part of the Lima experience. It's hamburgers are fresh ground everyday and it is one of the places Dave Thomas patterned Wendy's after. People who have lived here and return for a day or two always make it a point to visit Kewpee when they're in town. March is a great month because they hold their March Chocolate promotion featuring French Silk Pie. If you like hamburgers, you'll like Kewpee.

“Wonder where Wendy's came from?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Dave T did take the Wendy's concept from Kewpee, but it was one in Kalamazoo. This Kewpee is a Lima staple. Might take a little longer to get your food but it is worth it. Better burger, better fries, better frosty. Credit Dave for franchising it, credit Kewpee for keeping what they do the same.

“Always the Best Burgers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Live out in Massachusetts now and everytime I go home, I have to stop at Kewpee. The original is the best. They say Dave based his hamburger place on the Kewpee concept but Wendy's is a pale, pale, pale imitation. Double Kewpee with cheese, chili, fries and pie. When I was in college at Ohio State, anytime I went home, I'd have to bring a couple bags home for my friends. Atmosphere at the original downtown location is excellent, the other two locations are so-so, though the food is good at those as well. But if you want the full Kewpee experience, go to the downtown location.
