On a recent trip with my mom to visit relatives in Lancaster and surrounding areas, she let me choose the accommodations, and as I would always pick a B&B over a hotel, I found that our options included a place in town that seemed to cater to romantic couples and a few horse farms. Being a city girl, I dug deeper online and found the lovely Henry Manor, which, along with being a bed and breakfast, takes advantage of it's beautiful gardens in the spring/summer months to host weddings and other catered affairs. The house itself is a gorgeous, carefully restored 1869 brick Tuscan Victorian, and the rooms were cozy, comfortable and full of character. The owners, Kay and Wayne, made our stay very comfortable. We could have anything we wished for breakfast (I asked for Eggs Benedict Florentine and fresh fruit salad) which was delicious. We would happily return. The only problem with this bed and breakfast is that now I want my own 1869 brick Victorian!
