“Ray's Place - worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Good food and fun atmosphere. Only problem here is finding a table - you come in the door, and it is every man for himself.

“Great bar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

This bar/restaurant is somewhat open air. When the windows are open...they are open! They open accordian style, no screens. It's fun to sit by the window & chat with people passing by. While there, a HUGE rainstorm hit Kent including a tornado south of town. The owner/manager got everyone's attention, alerting that we might be heading to the basement without scaring anyone. He had the whole place laughing and cheering when he also told us that that is where they keep the beer. Chicken wings were the best we have had for a long time! They were cooked properly...not overcooked & dry. Very good.

“Proper burgers in Kent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

Whenever Im visiting relatives in Mogadore I always try to get over to Kent to visit a few restaurants, one of which is usually "Rays Place".

Great great appetizers such as their Sauteed Peppers, Steamed Mussels and Deep Fried Mushroom. They serve proper burgers, not your plastic chain numbers and alongside a great selection of draft and international bottled beers, which are on offer, you can't go wrong. Try their "Stuffed Gourmet Burger" for a treat. Its what I usually have. They also do great fries. All of their food is reasonably priced, for example the burgers are around $6-$8 depending which one you go for.

The surroundings are what I would call "real" and not some plastic designer manufactured character that regretfully you all so often find today. Seeing as they have been around since 1937, I guess that's not terribly surprising.

Ive always had good service here and never had a bad meal. Come and try it.
