Description: Located conveniently off of the I-77 Rockside Road exit in Independence Ohio, only 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland, Shula's 2 is the premier restaurant for all types of dining in Northeast Ohio. Shula's 2 is a transition from a sports bar to casual dining with a more upscale menu. With Shula's 2 we offer Certified Angus Beef® SHULA CUT® Filet Mignon, New York Strip, and Ribeye (The "Cowboy") steaks from our Steak Houses in smaller portions, newly introduced Certified Angus Beef® cuts, such as the spice rubbed strip steak, and the Certified Angus Beef® SHULA BURGER® brand as a standard for all burgers. Newer, more popular salads and fresh seafood address all taste buds, such as our popular Seared Ahi Tuna Salad. Appetizers and sides are simple, yet complimentary to the menu items and served in large portion. Sweet potato fries, onion rings, enormous jumbo baked potatoes and the fresh asparagus are some of our most popular sides. Restaurant look and design strategy consists of some memorabilia and pictures celebrating local sports heroes and celebrities, including a 72 Miami Dolphin jersey and helmet. Also central to atmosphere are high-end flat panel screened TVs, dark woods and frames with spotlights, and pigskin walls. Granite topped tables and offer a different appeal and destination for residents of Independence, Brecksville, Valley View, Seven Hills, Parma, Old Brooklyn and Cleveland Ohio. The bar becomes a place of socializing with wine and martinis for both business type groups or individuals looking for a warm atmosphere or a place to be seen. For private dining, there is great variety and flexibility with the menu items.

“Great value, great steaks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2013

No this is not the same dining experience you will find at Shula’s in Chicago etc. but it’s a different type of venue. Shula’s is a casual sports bar with a big bar and nice dining area. I enjoyed a chop salad and filet and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The wait staff was great and the chief even came to the table to ensure all was cooked to our liking. Wine selection is a bit limited but again this is not meant to be a top end dining experience. We thourghly enjoyed our evening, priced very reasonable and will return.

“Top Notch Steak”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Service was great. Steak was out of this world. I had a filet and literally could cut it with a butter knife. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Will return without a doubt.

“Atmosphere at the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We sat next to the fireplace with the Shula pictures and such. I had. Fine Shula burger and great ale. Wonderful, pleasant service!
Some road work on the way up from the main highway.

“Food was okay, service was poor!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

We were seated right away, waitress came by immediately to see if we wanted drinks literally seconds after we were seated. We asked for water and said we needed a minute or two. 5 minutes passed, 10 minutes, 15 minutes with her rushing past us but never stopping by to get our order. We asked a nearby server to let her know we were ready to order...20 minutes passed, 25 minutes, My husband got up and searched her down and asked another staff person to send her over. 30 minutes and we practically had to pull her over. You probably think the restaurant was busy or she was over worked. She had us and one other table. The other table was 2 parents and 3 young children. by the time their food came, 2 of the kids were fast asleep.
We ordered and let her know we were famished at now 9 PM. Food came, wine was good, bread warm, salad ok but overdressed. Steaks came out under cooked Rare instead of Med-Rare, the food deliverer (not our server) asked that we check on the steaks and we asked them to throw them back on the grill for another minute. My steak was tough and over seasoned. My husband requested no seasoning and so his was ok.
We did not see server again til she asked for a dessert order. We passed on dessert and she left the check. She did not return for 10 + minutes to get our payment (practically had to grab her again.
Save yourself the aggravation, pick a different restaurant. BTW this is not longer a Hilton but a Doubletree.

“Would not go again!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

I went to this restaurant with my husband because he loves good steak. He ordered steak which costs around $32.00 i ordered chicken. None of us enjoyed our meal. My chicken was burned and his steak wasn't cooked to order. Portions are tiny for the money. Would never go again!
