“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2009

We stayed here for the Vectren Dayton Air Show. Room was clean and comfortable. Typical of most Hampton Inns in terms of quality and service.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2009

Spent one night in a king bed on the second floor. The hotel is currently refurbishing their bathrooms and we got one of the redone rooms. The furniture, fixtures, carpet, etc. seemed fairly new as well, so perhaps the hotel is doing a complete update. We were not disturbed by the renovating. Our room was large, comfortable and quiet with a sofa, microwave and refrigerator. The mattress was firm, with good quality linens and duvet. The towels are thick and soft; water pressure reasonably good. Internet is free. However, the one elevator is still as slow as previously reported. No shower in the pool room and the towels there are skimpy. The water in the pool was a bit cool.

  • Liked — size of room, bed
  • Disliked — skimpy towels at pool

When we checked into the hotel and started bringing our bags to the room located on the second floor we heard strange sounds coming from their old elevator and every guest that got on it was saying that it sounded like it was about to break down....low and behold 20 minutes into our arrival I'm stuck in this old (--) elevator between the 1st and second floor, scared for my life. It was ten minutes before they finally got me out and they continued to allow guests to get on afterwards. The next night my aunts room flooded just because someone flushed a toilet in another room and apparently their old (--) plumbing couldn't handle it. The staff wasn't helpful in either incident and we are considering a lawsuit.

The hotel is an easy off/on the freeway. It seems farely new. Being a Hampton, it is similar to others but we enjoyed our one night stay there. They served the usual complimentary breakfast. If you want more, there is a Bob Evans directly across the street.

  • Liked — Easy off/on freeway
  • Disliked — No public pc in lobby

Rooms very clean and comfy. Luxury linens. Nice breakfast buffet. Stairs not readily availible so you are forced to wait for the one elevator, but overall a very nice stay.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2006

We stayed for three nights. Seems to be a very new Hampton Inn. Found the staff very friendly, our check in / check out was very efficient and quick. Rooms were nicely appointed - in the typical newer Hampton Inn style. Our room on the second floor was very quiet. We rarely heard any other room door close and heard no noise coming from the hall outside our room. As previous reviews stated, there are plenty of places to eat as the breakfast items are not anything special and the elevator is very slow and clunky. For what we were doing the hotel was perfect and on our next trip to Dayton / Huber Heights we will stay again.
