“A true gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2014

A stunning and expertly run property. Beautiful house and grounds. The mews was fantastically well equipped and led on to a wonderful little garden complete with barbeque. Attention to detail evident not only in room but in all aspects of the hospitality from booking right through to the doggy bag to make the most of the baked goodies at breakfast. Excellent location - quiet and easy access to main street, restaurants and the surrounding area.

This is the place where I felt my Tasmanian holiday truly began. The house is beautiful, and the spa suite that we had was luxurious and completely comfortable, with incredible attention to detail. We felt very relaxed and at home here, and truly couldn't fault it. The full cooked breakfast was fantastic! Also, love the dogs Dougal and Lulu.

This is a really cosy B&B. Its also well located in easy drive of Freycinet national park & there are also several restaurants & a few shops in easy walking distance including a pub that I forget the name of that had surprisingly good food. The hosts really couldn't do enough to help you and were very friendly. This place cooks & serves the best breakfast I have ever had & on finding I am gluten intolerant they insisted on cooking me separate GF muffins, rolls & porridge which was way more than I could eat. Fantastic.

More than I had hoped for. Spacious little Mews with a back porch overlooking the fabulous garden. The hosts genouosity with their baking added a really special touch. Very quiet and a short walk to the main street. Best breakfast ever.

Room Tip: Mews miss the view but there are no stairs. There are likely views from upstairs balconys of the Hou...

We recently stayed overnight in one of the Mews spa suites, the hosts were friendly and welcoming and they had two really cute West Highland Terriers as well. We were given a plate of assorted homemade cakes for afternoon tea, which were really nice and the breakfast in the morning was great. The room was nice and sunny with a little deck at the back which joined onto the gardens which were also really nice. Overall, great experience and would definitely stay again!

The comment in our guide book 'best breakfast in Tasmania' made us curious and we can now say it's true. We booked a small room and got a bigger one for the same price when we arrived because it wasn't too busy. Really good service and a very cosy atmostphere. Thanks!
Nice restaurants are in town and Freycinet National Park as well as Bicheno (penguin tours!) are not far.

Stayed in heritage spa suite, suited our needs perfectly. Nice and private, comfy bed, fantastic breakfast - eggs, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, toast, tomatoes, sausages, hot porridge, smoothies, tea, coffee, croissants, muffins, and bag to take leftover pastries! Short stroll to restaurants. Friendly hosts and dog.
