Our group of 13 occupied 4 cottages booked through the Stanley Hotel.
The cottages have all been tastefully renovated to provide modern facilities but retain the historic theme that makes Stanley such a delightful destination.
We stayed in the Green House which as the largest and most central cottage became HQ for the group.
The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and the bathrooms large and spotlessly clean.
The location is close to the Stanley Hotel, at which the group dined one evening.
There are so many things to do in/around Stanley, our group;
*Climbed the Nut (several times) - nice to see upgrade facilities since our last visit
*Used the chairlift
*Bought fresh fish from Hurseys seafoods
*Watched Fairy Penguins at dusk within 200 meters from our cottages
*Took a guided tour of Woolnorth and Cape Grim
*Visited Dismal Swamp forest experience less than an hour from Stanley
*Visited the spectacular Dip Falls and Big Tree reserve about thirty minutes from Stanley.
As others have observed, there is no wi-fi at the cottages and the provision of an outside bbq would add value for groups.
