“Pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

We stayed in a unit as opposed to a cottage. The two level unit was clean, spacious and well presented. The bed was comfortable and room made up daily. Good value for money..

Our first visit to St Helens to look for accommodation for a family holiday in April. We found Queechy to be ideal. Spacious and clean. Good value for money. A very comfortable bed - essential for us oldies.

Heaps of room with space a plenty to park a boat. Have booked for our April holiday.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a good sea view.

My boyfriend and I were passing through and picked this property based solely on the exterior appearance. Upon entering the reception area, a very nice man greeted me and insisted I personally inspect a cottage before checking in. The cottages are well stocked with the basics (silverware, cooking utensils, plates/cups/glasses), good working AC, TV and comfortable beds. The prices was also a very good value. ($90 for the night) The location is beautiful and the amenities of town are close by. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay and would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed in motel suite 22, which had it's own parking bay just outside and there was also a bench on the verandah with views of the bay. The lounge/kitchen was downstairs with the bedroom upstairs. The bed was large and confortable and there was a flat screen tv on each floor. The maid visited daily and as well as the usual duties, changed towels and soap daily and even left a pint of milk in the fridge each day. The reception staff, John and Rosemary, were exceptionally helpful and friendly. There was an inclusive on-site laundry. We haven't got a bad word to say about Queechy Cottages.the cost was reasonable and we would definately recommend them. We had originally booked a room at the Bayside Inn at St Helens but were so shocked when we opened the door to our room that we immediately booked out without staying, so we had to find somewhere else quickly. As we had passd Queechy Cotages on the way in, we thought that we see if they had any vacancies, and were so glad that we did. We booked for two nights but stayed for four.

Would highly recommend. We stayed in a studio villa and could not fault the accommodation ex pet that the bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs via a rather steep staircase, a bit challenging in the middle of the night. Very comfortable furniture, nice to have a comfy couch and bed

We stayed overnight in unit 11 and were extremely pleased with the space, cleanliness and facilities in the cottage. We even used the communal BBQ to prepare dinner. It exceeded all expectations. A real gem!
