“Gorgeous little village with a brilliant bakery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

The town is clean, proudly presented, with a wonderful antique shop and bakery. Great vanilla slice and hot pie. Plenty of temptations to select from. A must-do so plan for a meal/snack time.

“Divine pastry!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

We had a light lunch at this bakery during our visit to Ross. My egg and bacon pie was the best I have had. Husband and Aunt loved their pies too. Husband had a vanilla slice which was also yummy and the coffee was fine as well. Weather was lovely so we were able to eat in the area beside the cafe and watch the passing parade of people.

“Charming little bakery!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

Nice leafy outdoor seating area on the main street in the quiet and historic town of Ross. The scallop pie with salad was good. The vanilla slice didn't reach the heights of "world's best" as promoted, but was also good.

“Great Pies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

An unplanned stop in Ross to break the road trip from Hobart to Launceston ticked all the boxes. Great pies, a fantastic sausage roll, yummy slices and pastries.
Definitely a pick of the two bakeries in the town.

“Excellent bread”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

This is much the better of the two bakeries in Ross - the one on the northern end of the Main Street. It's artisan bread was excellent, and the vanilla slice very good. (However, it's claim to be "World's best" vanilla slice is somewhat exaggerated - we've had better elsewhere!) coffee was okay. The staff are friendly, and the cafe has several tables to sit at, and toilet facilities. The folks there are clearly trying very hard to offer a good service and good products.
