We chose the deluxe cabin and it was worth it. Best place we stayed in our 5 week Australia trip. Cabin perched on the hillside overlooking the bay, surrounded by trees with parrots flying around. Great facilities - well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, comfortable bedroom (you could lay in bed and look at the sea), deck with table and chairs. Very close to Port Arthur Historical Site. Lovely walking trail along the coast. Only 2 very small complaints - water pressure was almost non existant in the shower so i'm not sure how long it would take to fill the spa bath and wifi internet only available in reception between 9 and 5. Not very user friendly. If you plan to self cater then take your groceries with you from Hobart. Very limited stores in this area. Greatly enjoyed our stay here and it was a fantastic end to our trip.

We booked the upper spec cabins = not cheap for non-peak time. We were a little disappointed in them. They were good - clean, tidy, and fit for purpose. But no fire - that was a let down. We expected it - we were going to the south of Tassie to a lodge...so. And the fittings, particularly the bathroom, were average for the price. With a tiny cheap shower enclosure, and low water pressure - we expected more for the money. But otherwise it was quite positive really - these are quibbles that more reflect that one would expect a few improvements in these areas but really the whole package is pretty good.

The restaurant was excellent, with a view over the bay that is hard to beat. Quite amazing and tranquil as well. Dinner was quite good, and the included breakfast likewise - very enjoyable location for a slow breakie.

The location is great, close to the local attractions and yet secluded and quiet. One could sleep away a lot of time here!

We stayed at Stewarts Bay Lodge, the 1 bedroom cabin for 1 night. The property is well manicured, the cabin was spacious with floor to ceiling windows, was clean and had all the necessities. It was also in a good location if you were visiting Port Arthur. Overall an average stay.

Stewarts Bay Lodge was just not as great as I expected it to be, considering the amount paid - it was a bit cold, lacked character and it was missing those little touches that would have made it great. Check in was quick, but grim; the kitchen had the bare minimum - there wasn't even any foil to cover the leftover food that we had cooked; you had to take out your own rubbish on your last day; the bedroom was also really cold as the heating system was in the living room.

This was a perfect place to stay... the cabins overlooking the bay were warm, private and totally relaxing. The close proximity to Port Arthur was just what we were looking for as well, we thoroughly enjoyed walking around the bay taking in the wonderful scenery and beautiful crisp clean air. Would definitely recommend this for a get away!!

This place is awesome especially if you are a nature lover. Surrounded by a tranquil bush setting, we had out own private spa villa with all amenities and king bed. Quality electricals, private balcony etc. Sit, observe the birds, listen to the sea, relax and take in all that nature has to offer. You couldn't fault this place....and only a short walk or drive to the Port Arthur site.

I wish I could have stayed longer. The property is so lovely, with lots of wild life. The cabins are comfortable and cosy and the brekkie is fantastic. Couldn't say enough good things about this place.

Awesome break away from Hobart... Quiet, peaceful etc, plus an amazing view from most rooms / suites. For tourists - close to Port Arthur and close to Hobart. For locals, a perfect getaway when you don't want to travel far.

We'll definitely be going back but we'll go for the more expensive rooms next time - they all look brilliant.
