“Fantastic Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Tried restaurant two nights in a row and we enjoyed quail (best I have ever had), duck, slow roasted beef cheek and pork belly. Cannot believe we got it so good. We had a dining voucher for $50 per night through Wotif...this lessened the cost luckily.

“Over priced and under delivered.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant has one of the best views in the world and for the prices they are charging in the restaurant I was expecting a 2 hat dinning experience. What I received was a menu that was not really thought out.
One of our guests had the mussels as a entree and was big enough to be a main. The mussels were cooked and seasoned well and had some good flavours but the size of a main. The cheese souffle also was ok but the fig entree was border line with soggy pastry. Now the mains, beef cheek was cooked good but the garnishes were all dry ie lentils and so the dish became a bit boring to eat because of the lack of sauce on the plate. The same happened with the duck confit as well. The pork belly came out and my daughter said is that a entree and that was what it looked like. The 3 smallest cubes of pork and 2 prawns a little sauce and no real garnish. The prawns had black on them which means not fresh and that's what they tasted like. Now for the kids, as a parent we are all trying to get our kids to eat veggies and I don't just mean chips. So when they say they want mashed potato and stir fried veg I'm happy. When the mash came out with stir fried onion, carrot and capsicum and drowned in sweet soy sauce, not one green veg the horror look on my daughters face and I don't blame them.
So my advice have a glass of wine and enjoy the view but eat else where.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The quail entree was very good, however after reading other reviews it appears we should have gone for seafood instead of the meat dish we both ordered for the main. The pork belly was not the standard it should have been and appeared to have been either kept warm for some time or reheated. The home cut fries were overcooked and soggy. The best part of the meal were the two prawns that accompanied the pork. The staff were very efficient and friendly and I could not fault the service but I would not eat in this restaurant again and would choose the Bistro which is part of the complex where our meal was excellent.

We had a lovely meal, attentive service and enjoyed a cheese plate and port in the lounge area afterward - very nice.

“Simply brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Great food, service and location. This was a magnificent place to eat dinner by the water. The price was very reasonable given the quality of the food. We had the mussels and pork belly which were just perfect. The chocolate pudding desert topped off the night along with the nice selection of wines and boutique beers. Suggest walking along honeymoon beach to see the sunset.
