“Perfect Honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

We had our Honeymoon here in late September 2013. Being the first time that my husband and I had been away from our children in the past 5 years, it was the most relaxing and wonderful experience.

The staff (especially Russell, Lisa and Mel) were so attentive and friendly. Everything is thought of with each detail of your stay presented immaculately. The only downside is that there is so much amazing food that you put on ten kilos a day.

I would recommend Saffire to anybody and look forward to going back!

My family of four recently stayed at the Saffire and we were most impressed with the service rendered at the hotel. The great experience started when their limousine transport partner Michael Skeggs drove us from the charming Henry Jones Hotel in Hobart to Saffire, Mr Skeggs was charming and polite and that make the two hour drive pleasant. The stay at Saffire was enjoyable as we manage to scale the hills to see the Wine Glass bay in all its glory in good weather. What also impresses us is the excellent service rendered by Matt working at the Lounge who was attentive and kind to my teenage children. He even bothered to climb a flight of steps just to take a family photo for us! Joseph of guest services was also kind to give us a backpack for our trip outdoors. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were great and they never fail to greet us each time we meet. When time and budget allows, we will be back to spoil ourselves again!

Room Tip: Go for the Signature suites as they offer gorgeous views and excellent room size.

My two sisters and I stayed at Saffire last weekend. It was a surprise gift from them to me for my 50th birthday. Wow. From the moment we drove up the driveway and were greeted by Justin everything was exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The food prepared by Hugh and his amazing kitchen staff was as good as you will find anywhere in the world. The selection of wines to compliment the desgustation dinner was perfect. We felt very special and as if we were the only guests (or at least the most important ones) in the entire place. Everything was perfect. I cried when I arrived from sheer surprise and joy and I cried when I left because I didnt want to go. Thanks Justin, Mel, Hugh and the team. Amazing.

Room Tip: There are no bad ones!!

We visited Saffire for the third year in a row at the end of August. Expectations were high following previous excellent stays and we were unsure if this was sustainable given sometimes revisits to destinations can lose their gloss .No need to worry the place just gets better and better and there just aren't enough superlatives in the Oxford English to marvel the style , quality, and superb customer service. Tweaks and subtle changes mean the return guest has something new to experience be that activities , food or supervised bush walks with an expert indigenous tracker.
I just wish we had longer this year ,time here runs quickly and next year when we visit, which we will I plan a longer stay. Saffire is we believe great value for money in comparison with other high end wannabe resorts and in the pristine environment of East Coast Tassie just can't be beaten.

Room Tip: All accommodation is superb.

We have stayed at several luxury lodges before but nothing has come close to this stay.
As beautiful as the surrounds are, the staff is what made our trip so delightful. Everyone made us feel like nothing was a problem and that we were family. How they do it I do not know.
The activities were well planned and most enjoyable. Whilst the food was as good as I have had anywhere.

We will be back
Thank you to the team at Saffire for making it the best stay bar none

Without doubt the best travel experience we have ever had. From the Hobart airport to the resort and back, there was nothing but flawless attention to detail. The views, the staff, the food, the wine, the rooms, the conversations, the experiences, just everything.

Room Tip: Every room is outrageously great.

4 Nights of flawless accommodation, food, wine and service. Saffire is without a doubt the best holiday experience that we have had anywhere in the world. We will be back!
Brilliant accommodation, superb food and the staff really made the difference. Going home was like leaving your new best friends.

Room Tip: The Luxury suite was huge and fantastic.
