This was quite a good restaurant for a smallish retro style town in the North of Tasmania. Being from Melbourne I suspect I have unreasonably high expectations. La Pomme offered reasonable prices for large servings with cheery staff and a good range of choices. I was here on business and it looked to be the best option on a Monday night. It was a friendly venue for a solo traveller and I like it when the waiting staff offer a recommendation on the wine.
No complaints at all. I enjoyed it. My rating is based on location and comparative options. I would like to come back and try something else on the menu; I had the beef cheeks which were pleasant but not amazing and I was too full for dessert so I don't really feel I have a good indication on what this restaurant can do - take that into account when you read this.
