“Inspiring!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

What an inspiring place to visit to see a shifting range of artists ply their trade. Very reasonably priced products to buy, that were a lot cheaper and less expensive than an inspiring design shop in Launceston. Came away on a cloud of the beautiful Huon pine products I bought!!! Recommend it!

“a bit disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2013

we went expecting to see a number of artists working on their art and were disappointed to only have three there at the time, none of whom seemed particularly interested in sharing their craft or ideas with us even though it was not busy at the time. We did a tour of the paper museum and made some paper and whilst of interest it was not mind blowing. I think the idea of the Makers Workshop is great, and I appreciate that most artists have a regular place where they work but I think more artists on site would encourage more visitors.

A great gift shop with free gift wrapping using locally made papers. The staff at the information counter are very helpful and friendly.

“Fantastic Setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012

Situated right on the beach at Burnie. Great architectual building, interesting exhibits and the staff, mostly volunteers are the most helpful in the state.

“Excellent space for purchasing quality craftsmanship.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012 via mobile

Really great space. Purchased way too much stuff for my own financial good but very satisfied with the diverse array of artists/craftspeople represented. Friendly to boot!
