“Fantastic Fun !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Are you looking for fantastic fun in Tassie? if so, we highly recommend you book a Play A Round in Tassie Tour with Robyn! Robyn greeted us with a wonderful big smile and such enthusiasm it is infectious! Robyn is a wealth of knowledge on the Burnie area and it surrounds. We were able to experience places that we didn't even know existed or probably would of drove straight by!
We were able to experience not only great views & lovely locations but local people and surrounds. Also wonderful local produce on the foodie trail (Yum!) Nothing is too much trouble for Robyn she is so flexible and really listens to what you say. Robyn can cater the tours to suit your needs with where you would like to go and places to see, but at the same time makes suggestions that do not disappoint!
We booked a tour on recommendation from the owners Sue & Derek of Hideaway Cottage Retreat, Burnie (a beautiful relaxing place to stay!). We had originally booked a half day tour but decided to take a break from driving ourselves around and changed it to a full day, it was the best decision we made and it was worth every cent!
Robyn had included a Wow factor in our tour which truly was unexpected and certainly a wow! However little does Robyn realise that she is a true Wow factor in herself with her bright, bubbly and caring personality! If the world had more people like Robyn who clearly loves what she does and the people she takes on tour world really would be a happier place to live in. Thank you Robyn

Speaking of WOW Factors, that certainly was a WOW Factor review. Thank you so very much. It was a fabulous day. My Foodie Trail is a new experience for Play A Round in Tassie, it gave me the greatest of pleasure to showcase the wonderful food, wine are fare for which the North West Coast of Tasmania is fast becoming famous. It was great taking you to places that as tourists, you may not have known about or discovered by driving yourselves. I hope your dreams come true and you get to visit Tassie again, hopefully for longer next time.

“My Burnie Journey - February 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

My cruise ship was docking in Burnie for the day. I had booked a tour with 'Play A Round In Tassie' - Robyn McCarthy. She was waiting for me at the Makers Workshop where the shuttle bus drops you from the ship. I knew the minute I meet her I was in for a fun day. Another couple joined us and we started our journey. We drove around the countryside sight seeing, stopping at lookouts and rivers. We went to Anvers chocolate factory and ate some very yummy fudges, then off to The Cherry Farm where I ate lots of beautiful big black cherries. Through Sheffield with with its impressive murals. Past the opium poppies (no samples here) than onto Table Cape and Wynyard, beautiful scenery in this area. Robyn shared her knowledge of her beloved home land and kept us entertained throughout day. At the end of the day we were in for a big surprise a feast of colours from the most wonderful collection of tuberous begonias at her friends home. If you want to be spoilt for the day, be sure to contact Robyn.

It was a fun day, thank you for being patient while I collected our other guests. We certainly covered a lot of ground during our day together. It was great sharing lots of laughs. So thrilled you loved my WOW Factor, I feel very fortunate to be able to share with you the spectacular begonias. Such a wonderful sight. It was very easy to spoil such a nice person. Thank you for selecting Play A Round in Tassie as your on shore cruise ship tour when your visited Burnie.

“A fantastic experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

If you are looking for a well informed and enthusiastic guide in Burnie, you won't do better than Robyn McCarthy at Play A Round in Tassie. We had private guides throughout our trip to Australia and New Zealand, and she was the best! If she were any more enthusiastic, you'd have to tie her to her seat. She clearly loves this area, knows so much about it, and wants to show it to you and your family. My husband and I went with her, but she would be terrific with kids (or anyone). Tell her what you are interested in, and she will find it for you. You won't be disappointed.

Thank you for the kind words. It is easy to be enthusiastic when you have guests who appreciate and are excited to learn as much as possible whilst visiting our shores. Its always sad to say goodbye to lovely guests, knowing there is still so much more for you to see. My favourite saying "love what you do and do what you love"

“A special day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Burnie is a lovely spot and there is no better way to explore it than with Robyn. Not only did she show us all the wonderful views and parks, artisan whiskey brewer and chocolate maker, but took us to neighborhoods and small surrounding towns so we really got a feel for the way people here live and enjoyed the beautiful gardens that fill the yards. We even had a yummy lunch of wine, cheese and fruit is a park dedicated to veterans that was special because it was around Remembrance Day (Veterans Day). Our day with Robyn was the highlight of our trip.

It was a pleasure showing you both around the North West Coast of Tasmania. November is a great time to visit as the gardens are blooming with spectacular flowers, of course any time of the year is ideal to sample whisky and chocolates. It was lovely to share lunch with you at my favourite picnic spot at the Naval Park by the river. A great day was had by all

“Two tours made special because of Robyn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Excellant is the only way to describe our tour. Robyn is up for anything, not only did she suggest places of interest, she was willing to take us to where ever we wanted to go.
She even met us at our next port and showed us all of those sites.
Traveling with Robyn is like traveling with a family member, she puts her heart and soul into the tour and makes everyone feel comfortable.
We were there in March of 2010 and the weather was beautiful.
