“A Family Type of Place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2008

This is a high falutin' name for a fairly pedestrian accomodation. It is a great place for families wanting to stay in a quiet town somewhat near the ocean, though the main road is inbetween.

We had a large cabin with a large somewhat stocked kitchen (a few old pots and pans), TV, DVD, great shower and washer and dryer. Worn out bed.
There is a pool. The place was clean, though I felt overpriced. Breakfast fixings for instance for 2 would be $21 (nice bakery in town).
Of course, there is not a lot of choice in the area, being fairly remote.

  • Liked — Not a lot of choice in the area. Good for families with children.
  • Disliked — Overpriced.

The resort was lovely. Great rooms with all facilities and a lovely view. However, I would suggest you dine elsewhere. Why ask me how I would like my steak if I am going to get it however the chef cooks it ...3HOURS LATER!!!!! Very ordinary meal. Most disappointing.

  • Liked — Roomy, Clean, Great facilities ie. Laundry, kitchen
  • Disliked — Restaurant. confusion in checking in.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2008

Stayed at the Bridport resort in a large one bedroom self contained unit. The resort has units ranging from 1 to 3 bedroom and all are large, modern, clean and very well located on the edge of the sea. The resort has a good restaurant though we found the sea food a bit overdone. The resort has an indoor heated pool and spa which was popular with the toddlers. Bridport itself is a delightful harbour town with terrific little coves with clean white sand and smaller waves. lots of families with younger children were enjoying the facilities. The local Bridport coffee shop was first class offering excellent breakfasts and great coffee.

  • Liked — clean large well equipped and located units
  • Disliked — restaurant didnt do the sea food justice
