I have rated it as very good because it is better than average but on this visit 'good' would be more appropriate. A good example of how to make a country pub work and prosper. We dropped in on a cold winter's night and the fire was blazing with plenty of people inside. Unfortunately the local craft brew, which is excellent, ran out as he was filling my glass but a green Coopers was a good substitute. A good value menu in the restaurant but my 'mixed gorilla' was not quite up to scratch with some items hot and others cold and the lamb cutlet close to being 'on the turn', I should have gone for the daily special. We will give the place another go when it warms up a bit and we can ride the motorbike over to stay and eat in the hotel. It's a great little town.
