“Beautiful food and a lovely restaurant.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The Hungry Hare is a must for anyone looking for a Restaurant with something a little more special. Our chef Edmond and assistants were very pleasant. The ambience was lovely with our private room for our group of six. The food was a set three course menu and each dish was beautiful. We loved this Restaurant and highly recommend it.

“Simple excellence with old fashioned country hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Writing this review after my second visit to the Hungry Hare. The Hare is generally only open on Saturdays and offers a fixed three course meal which changes very regularly and is BYO. Price is very reasonable given the quality @ $50 to $55.

The meals are always structured with a theme and the food is unpretentious but of excellent quality. The atmosphere is welcoming and convivial - reflecting the country town setting.

We plan on making the Hare a regular saturday night pleasure - if you are visiting Oberon on a Saturday I'd recommend making booking (well in advance) and enjoying the experience.

“Pleasant experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Only open on Saturday nights, but a great place for dinner. Set 3 course meal. From my understanding there is a different menu just about every week. Great food, friendly host, and great ambience. Shared tables which makes for a unique atmosphere - be prepared to socialise. You can also book a private room if preferred. It felt a little like we were eating dinner at a friend's house, but with better food. Highly recommended if you're in the area looking for a nice place to eat out on a Saturday night. You also need to make a reservation.
