I hadn't been to Mt Vic for some time, but heard about the Bay Tree being refurbished by new owners and opening as Petalura ... lunch was superb with the salmon fishcakes and a wonderful salad, followed by the most divine raspberry pavlova roulade. Distinctly different but most enjoyable coffee served in fine bone china cups - such a treat. The new owner/chef, Vanessa, is hospitality itself. Where possible all produce is sourced locally and is mostly free range. During weekends, it's necessary to book as the reputation is spreading far and wide. I would have offered 5 stars if there had been table service in lieu of ordering at the counter.
