“A wonderful, peaceful quiet stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2012

We stayed here for one night. We were able to book through an online organisation and got a good rate for a Saturday deluxe loft suite. It did seem to be a quiet period - which suited us. Martha and Warren were lovely, and the grounds were so spacious and we took the opportunity to wander around them. As mentioned before, Parklands is within walking distance of good local restaurants - we were already familiar with Blackheath so did not need to use the comprehensive recommendations in the room. The rooms were very comfortable. I found the condition of the rooms good - the only thing dated (meaning well used) was the sofa covering. Breakfast was delivered as promised, and it was delicious. We forwent the hot offerings and had toast, fruit salad, yoghurt, muffins and croissants. In all, we had a lovely, relaxing and peacful time. I would go again.

Was after a one night booking (Saturday). Having stayed in Blackheath many times, we were knew of Parklands. It was no problem, the hosts were a delight to deal with. We stayed in a Deluxe Loft Suite which was a great size, had everything we needed and was deliciously warm!

The setting is superb; from those gorgeous trees to the ducks on the pond. It really is stunning. Very close to town and we were able to walk to our favourite Blue Mountains restaurant Ashcrofts (do yourself a favour and book ahead).

Whilst the suites are great, its worth noting that the decor is alittle dated. This is no way detracted from our stay and we look forward to staying again. However if you after plasmas, espresso machines and IPod docking stations - you won't find it here. Dare I say that's part of the charm....

Parklands is in a great location - it has its own grounds that make the accommodation very private and quiet, and yet it's only a short walk into the centre of Blackheath with some good restaurants and cafes.

We stayed for 4 nights in an executive loft room. The room was comfortable, and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was enjoyed by all (in particular my wife). A breakfast basket was delivered to our room each morning (apart from the last morning when we were leaving early and Martha made up a basket for us the night before). There was plenty to eat - including fresh fruit, a hot item, cereals, bread etc - and we often kept some back for lunch.

There is lots to see in the area, and plenty of walks nearby.

Some bits of the accommodation were starting to look a little bit tired, but we had a very comfortable stay and would stay here again.

Parklands is a destination for a wonderful getaway weekend.
Garden setting lives up to its name and especially in Spring with bulbs and Rhodadendrons,
as well as some stunning crab apple trees, makes for beautiful vistas and strolls.
The rooms are beautifully appointed; fireplace with set fire for the winter months, spacious and
cozy. Breakfast arrives at the appointed time in a basket; fresh, warm and delicious even with linen cloth and napkins.
The Govett's Leap view and hikes is a two minute drive from the resort and one need travel no further for views or hikes than right here in Blackheath.

Room Tip: Upgraded room with living room.

We stayed at Parklands for the 4 nights over the longweek. We arrived after 7pm to be welcomed by the lovely hosts. When we turned the key to our beautifully presented room we instantly felt the warmth from the heating that had been turned on for us and a beautiful fire all ready to go. Each morning a very tasty and filling breakfast was bought to our room with the papers. This is a great place for a romantic escape, we have even rebooked for next year.

My partner and I have been going to Parkland over the past few years. Everything was so perfect - beautifully appointed room, fire place, walking distant to restaurants, friendly hostess, delicious breakfast deliverred to your door, wonderful park land setting. In our view it is the best accomodation in Blue Mountain. The only downside is that it is expensive on the weekends at around $325 to $355 per night. And sometimes it is difficult to book a single night on Saturdays.

My partner booked this place as a suprise for our anniversary and we had a really wonderful time. We were in an upstairs room which included a warm fireplace and a huge bed and a delicious basket full of food delivered at breakfast. The grounds were beautiful to walk around and at the end of Govett's Leap road was a fantastic view of the Blue Mountains and great hiking trails. Blackheath was a sweet, little town and there was some nice wine tasting while we were there, and Katoomba is just a short drive away and an amazing place to visit. We went to Lochiel House for dinner one night and it was well-worth the long drive! Would definitely stay here again.
