“Friendly, Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2010

The place to go, right off the public pier. We are sitting here right now, enjoying the cold cerveza and amazing bread pudding, listening to the conversations of the locals...

“If they had this place on giligans island they would have never left lol”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2010

While visiting Yelapa we basked on the beach and had a great lunch with freshly made tortillas, shrimp and fries were a great end to a long day. As well as the margaritas ahh cant wait to visit again.

“WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2010

This place is delicious. The atmosphere isn't great, and there't not much seating. But man, oh man, the food is delish! We were there after Yelapa had been without power for 24+ hours, so we couldn't have the fresh bread, but they were offering a great shrimp quesadilla special. Oh my goodness was it ever good. It came with three quesadillas with the most delicious sauce, and a wonderful side salad with lots of veggies. We shared a famous Yelapa cookie and a homemade brownie for dessert. I'd definitely suggest you give this place a try. The owners are originally from the states and have been professionally trained....it shows! We'll be back next year!!

You can tell that the cooks here care a great deal about making quality food. All we ate here was fresh and very tasty. The tortillas were homemade and delicious. We had huevos mexicano which were the best i've ever had. wow

“The most amazing breakfast in town!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2010

With French trained New Yorker, "Chef Susan" in charge of the kitchen, the freshest of ingredients and an atmosphere and view beyond imaginable, Cafe Bahia is THE place to go for breakfast or lunch in Yelapa. I have never tasted Eggs Benedict as delicious of those created by Susan, who uses limes in the hollandaise, instead of lemons, making this dish uniquely Mexican. Or, for the granola crowd, try Susan's "Kick A** Granola" with fresh fruit and a spiced chai tea latte. The menu is rounded out with omelettes, sandwiches, homemade ice cream, sodas, sweets and snacks. Look for Cafe Bahia right at the pier as you exit the water taxi and make it your first stop. We live in Vancouver, BC, (which has incredible food and restaurants), are well travelled and Cafe Bahia ranks in my top 10 fav restaurants anywhere!
