We only stayed one night and booked here simply for the convenience of walking through to the South Terminal for a morning flight . We booked a Junior King Suite together with valet parking run by Maple . The parking worked very well with the staff meeting us at the hotel and again at the South Terminal on our arrival .
However our hotel experience was not great . Check in was slow ,despite being Honours member and not offered any help to take our luggage up. The room was large ,but dull ,very tired looking with a stained carpet. The mattress felt cheap and lumpy with poor quality bed linen and cheap foam pillows - just not what you would expect in a suite . We visited the Executive lounge which was hardly that with poor carpets ,tatty fittings and furniture . Choice of snacks was poor .
It's the sort of place which is ok for one night but certainly no more . It desperately needs a refurb .

Stayed with my partner in May 2012 prior to an early morning flight to Venice from North Terminal. Location is excellent - a short covered walk to South Terminal and from there just took the monorail to North Terminal. Loads of places to eat at night as well in the terminals (we went to Giraffe in South Terminal).

Parking at the hotel was in airport car parks. From the car park it was an short courtesy bus ride back to South Terminal.

We had a lovely executive room and access to the lounge both of which were in the new part of the hotel. However, there were no signs from reception of how to get to either the lounge or the room and we had to ask a couple of times. A shame really as this was the only black mark and hotel would otherwise have been 5 stars.

Special thanks to the hotel for the lovely cake they sent to my partner as it was her birthday.

Coming back from Dubai we stayed here for one night 27th December before a connecting flight the following morning to Spain. We were given a ground floor room which was newly decorated to a very high standard. The evening meal and breakfast option was great value for money. Stayng here makes a perfect start for the following day.

Room Tip: Book the evening meal and breakfast package online before you stay.

Some ten minutes on foot from car rental returns, also 10 minutes on foot to South Terminal (not 2-3 minutes as another reviewer suggests) quick and easy checkin, (note: prepayment enables quick [no-queue] checkout), comfortable bed, bathroom facilities clean + in order, TV & wi-fi easy to operate. Plenty of choice for supper and breakfast in Garden restaurant, busy in the evening but quiet at breakfast, with prompt service from staff. Air conditioning a necessary evil in rooms with no window that opens. This hotel is (as another reviewer mentions) "ok for one night but no more".

Room Tip: Rooms available for smokers, certainly on second floor.

As other reviews have mentioned the bedrooms are particularly in need of some TLC. Arrived at night and next morning realised the view from the window was a brick wall. Only staying one night on business so it was fine. Ypthe food was really good as we're the business facilities just a shame he bedrooms let it down.

The hotel is a 2-3 min walk to south terminal (and pretty much same for north terminal departures). The room was fine, if a little shabby and as other reviewers have stated it isnt quite to Hilton standards elsewhere. Having said that, the only reason you would stay here is if you are arriving or departing for gatwick, and for that reason its a winner. The food at the Garden restaurant is surprisingly good for an airport hotel! Althought the service is exceptionall slow (there was only one other family in the restaurant!). One ridiculous thing is they charge 15gbps for internet access! (even if you only want access for an hour) - the majority of hotels now offer a free hour or free day pass so the fact the hilton are charging an insane price for use of wi-fi is hilarious!

My wife and I stayed a night here again before an early morning flight. For the first time we arrived by car rather than by train and were presently surprised to pull up at a quiet entrance with a friendly porter to deal with our bags. Check in was quick (sign up for a Hilton Honors card), our standard room was clean with a very reasonable room rate.

The Garden Restaurant was busy but the staff were extremely polite and obviously well trained. Access to the terminal was well signposted with lots of carts/trolleys for bags/luggage, although remember they now need a (refundable) £ coin
