“Not bad for price but.........”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Stayed here for just 1 night having paid just £41 and the place is mostly fine. The receptionist was pleasant and they provide 2 pillows for each bedside and plenty of towels which is better then most travelodges. The living area was very clean, The walls could do with a paint but that does not concern me.traffic can be heard but i knew when i booked that the hotel is situated next to a busy road and garage so again that does not concern me.
My big problem was the state of the bathroom which is grotty and not cleaned very well if at all,i got in the bath and had to be careful not to touch the tiles around it as they were covered in what i can only describe as body fat and pubic hairs!.it was disgusting and i feel more dirty now then i did before i washed.
Other then that i had no problems and would possibly stay again due to its location.

This may be cheap but its not even worth what we paid. The room was on the 2nd floor and when we first went in smelt of cheese and onion crisps!! There was a large damp patch in the corner of the roof. Cobwebs all over the window frame and in the extractor fan in the bathroom. The radiator was covered in rust and looked absolutely disgusting. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The toilet in the bathroom was stained and needed a good clean. Very noisy at night as just across the road from a garage forecourt. The only good thing about this place was the sheets were clean and the staff were friendly.

We would never stay here again.

Room Tip: Wouldn't bother!

We booked for one night as a good base to get easy access to Arundel & Brighton; Littlehampton with it's stretches of sand is of course close by. We paid £54 for the room. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of car parking. Our room, at the front of the hotel, was large, light and very clean. The bathroom was probably new, plenty of hot water, and all very tidy.
Now the downside! Unfortunately, it is next to the Burger King ( smell of chips not always appealing) and a petrol station, and the road is very busy with constant traffic. This would not be a problem if the windows had been double glazed and it was the depths of winter. As it was not, we couldn't really open the window for fresh air as it was far too noisy, even with them shut it is like trying to sleep on the central reservation, and the room got very stuffy. Much is made of offering 4 pillows - personally I could have done with 1 soft one as the ones provided were like trying to sleep on a brick.
So the location to the road and ventilation let this Travelodge down; a pity, as with air con & proper glazing it could be a handy place for the South coast.

Room Tip: Just take ear plugs

We booked three rooms for Saturday night in September. £70 a night per room. Rooms tired and dirty, marks on walls, and radiator, windows filthy. Unable to close one of the windows (on ground floor), so a security risk. Showers had hardly any water pressure, just a trickle.

Website says cots are available, when I phoned up to reserve one was told they had none!

Will not be staying in one again.

On a positive the receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

This place is really tired. There is no towel rail (Still a sign saying that it might be hot though) The window was open, but there was no handle to close it. The bed was uncomfy, the room baking hot, the bathroom and toilet were really dirty and moldy. I didn't pay much for the night. But would consider again before booking super low budget stays from now on!

Room Tip: I slept in room 20, wasn't good, others might be better? Very noisey as well as we couldn't...

we stayed here for two nights had a room at the back of the lodge no complaints everything was clean the bed was probably the most comfortable we have slept in at this type of accommodation for some time. The front desk were friendly the room was cleaned to our satisfaction altogether a pleasant stay. We only needed a base to sleep so the facilities within the room were not used,e.g.TV internet.

Room Tip: the rooms at the back do have slight noise from the dualcarriageway adj. travelodge
