We recently had a dinner for four, starting in Jeremy's stunning garden and finishing in their restaurant. A leisurely gin and tonic surrounded by the heady smell of abundant sweet pea, on a very warm, summer's evening was a perfect start.
The food was up there with the best of the best - my partner and I made passing comments about "Michelin star" potential. My starter of crispy squid and king prawn was lovely, and the Moroccan lamb belly was a star. All other starters, mains and desserts measured up equally well.
The one reason they might not quite get to Michelin standard is the service - wine glasses were fumbled, dishes awkwardly handled, and attention was sometimes lacking (olive oil for the bread was late coming, which was a pity, because the olive oil was a star and well worth dunking bread into).
I can only imagine how perfect this would be for a wedding, or any other special occasion, and it was pretty perfect for our small celebration. Definitely we'll be back - thanks Jeremy!
