We only found this place on TP as we wanted to find a good restaurant for lunch somewhere quiet on the south coast within 2 hours drive from London. This is exactly what we found!
It was a hot day and this place does not have a garden for outside dining, but despite this we enjoyed the food and a lovely walk along the coast path 5 minutes' walk away afterwards.
The service was a little slow to get going and we felt we were ignored a little, but once it started we were happy as the staff are friendly and helpful.
My crayfish cocktail was lovely and tangy and my partner's mussels were excellent. My main of Monkfish meal was a little bit disappointing as the menu promised creamed leaks and they weren't very creamy, but the fish was good. However, my partner's liver and bacon was apparently some of the best ever tried.
Would we go back? Yes definitely. I have a feeling their Sunday Roasts would be really good.
