“Great recommendation from Trip Advisor”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

We only found this place on TP as we wanted to find a good restaurant for lunch somewhere quiet on the south coast within 2 hours drive from London. This is exactly what we found!

It was a hot day and this place does not have a garden for outside dining, but despite this we enjoyed the food and a lovely walk along the coast path 5 minutes' walk away afterwards.
The service was a little slow to get going and we felt we were ignored a little, but once it started we were happy as the staff are friendly and helpful.
My crayfish cocktail was lovely and tangy and my partner's mussels were excellent. My main of Monkfish meal was a little bit disappointing as the menu promised creamed leaks and they weren't very creamy, but the fish was good. However, my partner's liver and bacon was apparently some of the best ever tried.
Would we go back? Yes definitely. I have a feeling their Sunday Roasts would be really good.

“Best meal in a long time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Found this little gem on Trip advisor and we were well impressed! We were spending the weekend in the area to see Barnum at the Chichester Festival Theatre and were looking for somewhere good to eat for our second night. We wanted to be able to walk from our hotel (Beachcroft at Feltham) and found this one was just round the corner!
The food and service were second to none! We had garlic mushrooms to start which we're lovely and I had monkfish to follow which again was lovely, my partner had the lamb which was melt in the mouth with a wonderful sauce! We will certainly be back when we are in the area!

“Charming Village Good English Style Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

If the evening did nothing more than reveal the charms of Felpham, it was worthwhile. The village is situated very close to the town of Bognor Regis but is very picturesque with cottages, narrow lanes and a surprising number of pubs. The restaurant is opposite the Fox Inn and is painted a strange green color that combined with the office style vertical blinds in the windows did not fit in with the feel of the village. Once inside though you have a nicely finished restaurant. The staff were really nice although the waitress had to find out how one of the specials was prepared. the menu features everything from smoked salmon and pate to vegetarian options. Similarly the main courses were varied enough to allow a vegetarian some choice. The duck and the lamb were very good and then the deserts were homemade and huge. Decent selection of inexpensive wines. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked for it, but things like water had to be asked for. It was a charming evening and the food was good but not somewhere I could say you have to go. On the other hand it was certainly somewhere where you would not leave hungry and as I said, the village itself is lovely.

“Very Good Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013

I had read the positive reviews on trip advisor for this restaurant so decided to try it as I was in the area. Don't be put off by the rather shop front like exterior once inside the restaurant is contemporary and clean. I visited on a Friday night and the place was pretty busy with locals who clearly love the place. The waitress, who I think was the owner, was friendly and attentive. The menu whilst not vast takes full advantage of local seafood and produce. A vast menu normally means one thing anyway, the food is heated up in a microwave, the food here was clearly was cooked fresh. The scallops were cooked perfectly a great meal. Thanks to all concered.
