This was a present from our family and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the coach house and our room was lovely .Lounge downstairs and bedroom upstairs .Had a wonderful nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. We had a cream tea in the afternoon with warm freshly made scones.Had a lovely walk by the river this hotel is set in wonderful grounds, with lovely views. We also used the leisure facility's which were nice and clean.

Stayed here last year and enjoyed it that much we booked again this May. Landed at Gatwick at 7am and wanted to break up the journey home, so booked a suite at Walton Hall, and even though we arrived at 9.30am because the suite had not been occupied the night before they checked us in straight away. The room was beautiful and very spacious and the bathroom was almost as big. Very clean with a great countryside view from the large windows. That evening we ate in the Moncrieff restaurant in the hotel, and I am pleased the meal was included in the package as the portions were very small, beautifully cooked and tasty, but not enough, small portions on large plates are so 80's. Breakfast was wonderful, with a large hot and cold buffet to choose from and the coffee was superb. The Hall itself is a stunning building once belonging to Danny La Rue, and it has lots of character, a lot of the floors have a slight slope to them, its the age of the place but very quirky. It also has gorgeous grounds with a lake to walk around. This would be a great place to get married or to go for a romantic weekend. Pay the extra to stay in the hall, the rooms and suites are much better than the Coach house rooms. We will stay again.

I have read comments suggesting that the outer buildings were like a travel lodge. This is certainly not the truth. The first thing to say is that the staff are all well trained, efficient and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, self service breakfast 1st class. We had dinner in the hall restaurant on a set menu. Food was good. The only point to make was that the mains were only just warm. I wonder if the kitchen is some distance from the dining room and that this needs to be thought about. Grounds with lake and attractive bridge are impressive. Lots to see and do nearby, Compton Verney Art centre, Stratford and Warwick just to start with

I have just spent 2 days at Walton Hall care of a travelzoo offer, .The food here is superb however the accomodation is a little basic and tired. We stayed in the Coah house block. But having said that we really enjoyed our visit and it was great value for money

Just returned for a couple of days in the Stratford Area staying at Walton Hotel. Excellent value, nice room good food and very helpful staff. We stayed in room 108 , lovely ground floor room with everything you needed. We really appreciated the underfloor heating in the bathroom, the nice warm towels on the heated towel rail and piping hot water. All the staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the meals. We will return.

All, I booked and paid for a short trip to the HALL and was put up in the Stables so if you do decide to stay at THE HALL make certain that is where you end up. I think that the Stables use to be part of the Time share plan so you have a lower room which is sparse and an upper bedroom, also sparse. The room was in need of a bit of attention, which hopefully has now been carried out as just 1 example the door handle was almost falling off one of the doors, which must have been reported by a cleaner at the very least.Would I go back I dont think so. The breakfast was fine and the staff helpfull The bed was comfortable and I did sleep well, once I had switched off the emmersion heater that kept going on and off until midnight, dont think that I should have to have done this ?
But as far as a touch of luxury went I wasnt convinced.
