“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

At last we have found a restaurant in Nuneaton which serves great food. We visited Anthony's after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is tiny but full of character. We started with a complimentary amuse-bouche of a very tasty leek and potato soup. This was followed by starters of risotto and a chorizo tart. Both were excellent. For main we had a succulent fillet steak, superbly served on a wooden board with a basket of home cooked chips and an excellent Stilton source. We also tried the belly pork and chutney, complete with crispy cracking. This was served with dauphinois potatoes and vegetables which again were perfectly cooked. Unfortunately we were too full to sample dessert but they looked lovely. A limited but adequate wine list started at a very reasonable £ 11.99. Both courses were well presented and served on warmed plates. And the negatives? To be honest I would be struggling to find any. The service, although friendly was a little slow but considering they had a number of large parties to serve, I think they coped well. Maybe candles on the table might have created a cosier and more intimate atmosphere when dining a deux. Would I go back? Absolutely!

Title slow but considering they

Best Bistro in Nuneaton! One of the best in the midlands..
The presentation of the food is brilliant but the taste is better.. Especially the monk fish.. Delicious!
Excellent value for money! £25 for 3 courses!

“Anthony's for Friday Lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

The sad fact is that considering its size, Nuneaton is short on good places to eat..

My wife and I usually travel out to the Bull at Furnace End for good grub, but we fancied going somewhere different today. My wife stumbled on this page on Trip Advisory, so we thought we should give Anthony's a try, as it had so many good reviews. And we were NOT disappointed!

We went to Anthony's for lunch. I tried the chicken pesto wraps which were delicious and the chef made a vegi. version of the pasta of the day by substituting bacon for roasted veg. and mushrooms for my wife, and that too was delicious!

I was impressed by the atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the way the food was served, the quality and taste of the food, and of course the final bill!

Nuneaton doesn't have many good places to eat. Thank goodness for Anthony's!

“Best Place in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

Day or night Antony's is always a pleasure to visit! from stopping in for the odd sandwich or afternoon tea after a few hours shopping to a late night booking during Bistro hours the food is always fantastically cooked and served by welcoming and friendly staff. The atmosphere inside is always happy and welcoming and the decor is great - quaint and homely like a tea shop! value wise food is always of a high quality and standard which you would expect to be very expensive but is reasonably priced both for lone diners and group bookings during bistro hours (£25 for a three course meal cant be faulted!) potion sizes are excellent and there is always something on the menu to tickle your fancy! Truly is a great find in Nuneaton for anyone who enjoys great food and hospitality.
