“Second visit and very good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We paid £59 per night for Dinner Bed and Breakfast and a free bottle of wine each night! Food is pretty basic but ok and is a self service carvery type thing. Staff are nice and the location is lovely. A very short walk into Market Bosworth which is pretty and easy drive to Warwick or Stratford etc. Rooms are fine. The pool and steamroom area clearly needs updating and is very tired.

Room Tip: If you eat out go to Simla Pepper in Market Bosworth it is fab.

We stayed here for one night, which was lovely. The hotel is old and in need of some refurbishments but on a whole is pleasant. We made full use of spa and pool which was clean and relaxing. The rooms are just how we imagined for the age of the building, basically don't expect 5* modern hotel and it'll be perfect. The history of the house and family is very interesting. We had a lovely meal and enjoyed breakfast too. The hotel was very busy while we were there but it didn't affect the service we received. The village is beautiful and the locals are welcoming, so I would recommend taking the short walk and stopping off at the local pub. We would recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

Whilst the building itself is beautiful on the outside, the state of the inside made me incredibly sad. The whole place is a shambles of unsightly extensions bolted to a beautiful facade just to increase the number of bedrooms. The room was unclean and seriously in need of renovation. The carvery meal was one of the worst I've tasted and our meal booked for the restaurant the following evening was apparently double booked. More disappointingly, the staff were not interested in solving our concerns despite having confirmation of our booking. Do not risk going here for a special occasion as it's full of coach loads of groupon visitors and was far from special!

We have spent a number of week-ends @ Bosworth Hall through GN Holidays. On this occasion we were kept waiting about half an hour (and so were many others) for a seat in either of the restaurants for breakfast at 9-00 on Saturday morning! Otherwise it was all OK.

Room Tip: Avoid the main corridor that links reception/bar to leisure area/cabaret room.

I stayed here with my wife as it was close to a business meeting I had to attend. I found the hotel to be in serious need of refurbishment with lots of signs of wear and unwelcome sights like duck tape covering frayed carpet on the stairs! The bed was comfortable but too much furniture in the cozy room meant it felt cramped. Most of the staff were a big let down, either very inexperienced or just plain disinterested. The exception was Debbie in the bar who was excellent and the very hard working cleaners/housekeepers. Most of the facilities in the spa were unavailable or broken so my wife had to content herself with a walk in to delightful Market Bosworth.

The food was appalling! We had dinner in the bar and it was the poorest quality burger I have ever had! Breakfast was likewise disappointing with sausages tasting like they were made of bread with a hint of something technically described as meat.

The Bar area was deafening as the largely geriatric clientele were shouting at each other. We could only surmise this was due to either a high incidence of faulty hearing aids or the fact that they were all smashed after 3 hours of drinking at 99p per drink courtesy of the special drinks package provided by their coach company. Indeed, there were even a couple of passed out OAPs dotted around the comfy sofas. This place has so much potential and is crying out for investment but if you want a cheap and cheerful break you will get one here.

Just back from a fab night away courtesy of Groupon. Bargain £60 per sat nite DBB rate for 2 plus a bottle of wine- can't say fairer than that!! Clearly this place needs a bit of a refurb re. layout of bar, bathrooms and some the spa area but there is redecorating going as we speak. Exceptional food & service at Cromptons restaurant, esp host/ lead waiter Mark Naylor. Rooms spotlessly clean, beds comfy, portion sizes at both breakfast & evening meal fantastic- really great quality meats, cheeses, wines. Needs just minor attention to detail- tableclothes, new glassware, some customer service training at breakfast service. Lovely warm jacuzzi, steam room, pool- sauna out of order
Brilliant value
Thanks

Room Tip: Check that your room isn't near the early sunday a.m laundry delivery
