“Very accomodating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014

Stayed here as attending a wedding at Wentworth Golf Club. Arrived early and needed to change but couldn't have our room so were lent the use of another to change in. A large booking had been made for several wedding guests. Breakfast was good but not a lot of room for everyone to eat together. Probably not the case on any normal weekend. Was nice sunny weekend and with the added bonus of the park next door it was lovely.

Really nice hotel with nothing too much trouble.
Attentive and helpful staff.
Couldn't fault the food, very good and well priced though would have liked the breakfast to be included in the booking but then it was worth paying extra for!
Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable, also surprisingly quiet considering it's close proximity to main road which is a bonus for access to surrounding places to go.
Right on the doorstep to Windsor Great Park and Virginia Water lake.
Perfect for the best golf courses.
Can't find any faults, would have liked to stay longer and would recommend to anyone!

Im so glad I booked here, please ignore any bad reviews! This place is great. A 2 min walk to Virginia Water and a 10 min straight drive to Thorpe Park.
Hotel room was lovely and tidy, comfy and cool. The Air Con was very welcome with our soaring summer temps and a 2 and a half hour drive!
I will 100% be coming back here, fantastic staff and hospitality.

After walking around Virginia Waters for 2 hours, we decided we needed a treat, so decided to go for a Sunday lunch at the Wheatsheaf.
We ordered the beef roast dinner and a trio of meats meal, although the meat was fine. The roast potatoes were soggy and very oily, the Yorkshire puds seemed undercooked and the vegetables were also very undercooked!! Also, some of the chairs were bolted to the floor so we could not even pull them out a bit!! There was a couple on the table next to us, these chairs made it very difficult for them to manoeuvre their pushchair!!! The ladies lavatories were also very hot and smelt of urine!!

was visiting the area for our daughters graduation, this was the first time we have stayed here. the bathroom was very tired with peeling ceiling and some black mould on the tiles (could have done with a touch of bleach). the bed was a bit soft for my liking but was large with clean linen. free wi fi in the room and also had air conditioning. we ate there on the sunday night and the food was good and well priced for the area. breakfast on both days was very good and excellent value. the staff were all pleasant and helpful. would happily stay here again if we were in the area

Usually come here for lunch. Live local and love to visit the lake, so great location for lunch.
This week We popped In for a late lunch, and ordered the 'fish platter' after 15 minutes the board we out and was much smaller than expected £13.50 (I've had bigger at slug and lettuce) this was something I could of let slide, as I don't eat huge portions, only It stated there was asparagus served with the platter... When served there was none. I quickly asked and the bar man came out with 2(!!) pieces of asparagus... No wonder it was left off... That's just embarrassing!
When I asked the bar man 'is that it?!' He replied with 'yeah' and then ran off! - not sure id expect this level of service for the price of their food.

I would get better value for money at a slug and lettuce! And cleaner tables!

Wouldn't recommend unless your starving.
All of the menu a little over priced for what you get!

Stayed here while doing business in Woking/Surrey area and was great! Pub downstairs has great selections along with fair food. Very cute and cozy and was a great place to unwind after very long days in the office.
Fantastic location as well near the train and town - really enjoyed my time there!
