“Dinner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening with my husband. Very average food, did not impress us at all - we were expecting more. We were seated in the upstairs area which was very noisy and the tables all quite close together. The service was great and overall it was an okay night out, but I wouldn't go back.

“One of My favourite Restaurants in Berkshire”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Whenever my girlfriend and i want a reasonably priced nice meal out this is usually at the top of the list of places to go, been there with friends, family and just us for anniversaries, nights out couldnt be bother to cook sundays and just because we could quite a few times now and each time it never fails to live up to our memories. Good food, quick service and reasonably priced especially with their loyalty programme to reward repeat customers. My Fiances favourite dish here is the roast duck, so much so that we're having it for our wedding breakfast meal. My favourite is their Sunday lunch, big portions with all the trimmings!

“Unfriendly service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013 via mobile

We've had many nice meals at Picolinos, sadly this was not one of them. One if the staff members was unfriendly and verging on being rude and the food was average yet over-priced. Make sure you double check the bill, as they charged us for a more expensive bottle of wine. When we asked to have the bill changed, the staff member didn't even apologise. Won't be going here again in a hurray.

“Over Priced not good value for money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

I was greeted to a very nice welcome and seated stright away
but i have to say my meal was not worth what i paid for
I ordered a Calzone which turned out to be a bland and unwelcoming site filled with very bland and boring meatballs with the minimum sauce to go with it
as my partner was given the crabmeat ravioli which turned out to only be about 7 pieces of the bland tastless bits of pasta
and our bill came to be over £40 for this boring tastless meal
I will stronly suggest people not to go here and head across the road where you can get a much better value meal in the pub

“Not as bad as all that”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I went a couple of times a few years ago so was hesitant when in tied to a birthday bash recently
Decided not to order the pasta as being a fan of all things Italian have become a bit fussy on that score!
The insalata caprese was really lean and tasty, with rocket it worked really well. Portion size not huge so a tad expensive but at least it's quality protein not mushy pasta!
The filetto was ok ....so all in all would go again if pressed...and have the insalata caprese...maybe a double portion as a main course....
