Interesting layout as you enter the Pub and arrive in a deli! A very interesting small shop selling homemade pastries, pies, preserves and homemade bread. Wines to go and a good selection of bottled beers.
We were seated in the newish restaurant, a bright sunny room overlooking the near by woods. Fresh, modern fittings and furnishings with simple table settings set us up for lunch. The menu was very tempting - lots of dishes based on local grown or reared produce.
Our light lunch started with a shared platter of smoked fish, lots for two and served along with deep fried calamares & bread/ olive oil dip - all very good. Decided on fish and chips for the main course, the small portion( which was very generous),and was well presented and cooked The light meal was in fact more than adequate and pleasing.
The service was pleasant and prompt - the staff attentive.
All in all we were very impressed with the Farmers Arms and look forward to our next visit.
