“Great Burger”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2014

At last, Cau comes to Kingston and great location by the river.
Starter of spicy Calamari and followed by burger each for daughter and I.
Went on a Friday lunchtime and decided to sit inside in a booth which was away from the busy outside seating area.
Will definitely be back.

“Great in every way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

Spent a very enjoyable afternoon here with some friends. The sun was shining so we sat outside soaking up the Al fresco atmosphere. To start with I had Spicy gambas with a chipotle dip which were lovely but there were only three and I could have easily eaten a couple more- hence why very good and not excellent. For mains I had the steak medallions and my husband had the rib eye, both with salad and chunky chips, and we both agreed these were delicious, cooked to perfection. We drank more than our fair share of prosecco and red wine and eventually left six hours later (a very long lunch)! The staff were very friendly, a great setting and the food exceptional - we will be returning soon.

“Delicious!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

Visited this restaurant whilst picking our daughter up from University. Came across it by accident and very glad we did. Fantastic location. Was really busy but did everything they could to accommodate us. It looks great from the outside, and even better inside as it has been really well done out. Great service and really friendly staff. Food was lovely, in particular my husbands starter of pork belly - absolutely delicious and the presentation was fab. All 3 of us really enjoyed our food and I found the portions quite generous. My husband and daughter both managed a dessert and again the presentation was great. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again.

“The Much Improved Kingston Riverside area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2014

We booked a table last Thursday and arrived early so we were able to bag a table outside. The young lady who seated us gave us the option of a patio heater we declined but she said to ask if got a little nippy.

The cocktails were great and a well priced we followed by some amazing starters and we all had sirloin steaks the chips were not as good as they could have been, but everyone else in the party enjoyed them. The Malbec was great value also.

The staff are all young and very helpful and worked hard all evening - I hope to visit again soon as even in the winter the inside area is amazing too with a full view of the kitchens and great decor.

“Deeply disapointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

Full of expectation after so many good recommendations from friends, we arrived promptly for our 9pm table. After a bit of persuasion, our drinks order finally arrived, as did our starters 30 minutes later. After another hour of waiting the manager finally deigned to come over, this despite various waving and eye raising attempts to attract his attention, and said he would find out what had happened to our order. And after another mere 20 minutes half the order appeared, missing 2 mains, all the sides and including a 'beef medallion' that looked like dried jerky. To be fair the medallions were raplaced promptly and with good grace and the sides appeared within a few minutes. But by then the appeal was wearing thin, and the too late and highly obsequeous efforts of the manager to make amends was too little, too late. We will not be returning.
