“Great location, great staff, great rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012

We had a great stay at the White Hart. We were upgraded to the Seymour room, which is really spacious and devine. Breakfast and roomservice is high quality and the staff, especially the manger, are first class.

A great stay.

my boyfriend and I stayed for two nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Carlton Mitre Hotel on 1 September. The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff very helpful. The food in the adjoining pub is the real star though; breakfast and lunch were both outstanding and worth paying a bit extra for. The hotel is in a great spot (perhaps a little too near the road) but we found it to be a quiet retreat any way.

Room Tip: even if you're tempted to stroll out for food in the town, stay put and enjoy!

We stayed at the White Hart for one night prior to taking a return flight home from Heathrow.
The idea was for family and friends to meet up over the one night, two days. Things worked out perfectly and people came from all parts of the UK.

Accommodation is basic, unless you take a suite I guess, but relatively new, clean and secure.
The location is excellent for Heathrow and the city, and is steps away from the banks of the river Thames.

We bought the B&B rate for two rooms and must say that it was good value for money, and the breakfast excellent. Service was very efficient and friendly and all in all the food was very good and we had ample opportunity to sample the cuisine over two lunches and a breakfast.

A good choice and a good base close to the city and airport.

I booked into this Hotel/Pub having read some previous reviews. I was slightly cautious as I have always stayed in Marriott style hotels.
On arrival there is a large free car park, reception staff were extremely helpful and the room I stayed in was similar to the Marriott style. Bathrooms were spotlessly clean with soft towels and nice soap/shampoo etc. The bed was as comfortable as any I have slept in with plenty of pillows.
Free wi-fi was a great bonus and was in the room.
There is a pub/restaurant on site, although the only food I ate there was breakfast which again was faultless with a great choice.
To be perfectly honest I cannot see why you would want to stay anywhere else if in the area because it could not be much better.
I think someone has put a lot of effort into making sure this place is how it is, with all the staff I came across being polite, helpful and obviously happy in their work.
If booking a taxi from reception make sure you ask for Chariots as they were good value with polite staff and clean cars.
I have had a superb stay and will be back on a regular basis now I have found it, as I spend 5 days a month in London with work .
The hotel has free access for guests to a local gym and pool.

Room Tip: I stayed in a room overlooking the car park and it was very quiet

We spent 2 nights here and from the moment we arrived we had a very warm welcome.

All the staff from Olivia on reception Fiona and Grace in the bar, and Monica looking after us for breakfast were all very pleasant and friendly and were a fine example of what delivering excellent customer service should look like.

All in all the White Hart Hotel should pat themselves on the back . Thank you.

ps, only one thing that could be added a fridge in room

Room Tip: room 211 good size twin quiet and comfortable

We spent two nights at the White Hart with relatives who were over from Australia. It was very comfortable indeed with large(air conditioned) rooms a good restaurant and outdoor terrace. The hotel exterior was covered with beautiful flower baskets and is very well maintained - and justifiably popular. It is very well located within walking distance of the station and all the major attractions (shopping) of Kingston upon Thames and some very good local eateries in Hampton Wick. The cosmopolitan staff were very friendly too. The only negative was the very small double bed, so we switched to a twin bedded room which was very comfortable. The rooms were very quiet. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

We booked this hotel at last minute to attend an event at the Olympic Park. Excellent service for the following reasons:-
Firstly price.
After reading the previous reviews I requested a room at the back - no problem after speaking to Christabella the receptionist.
Advised we would arrive early on the morning of our reservation and could we park the car as we were using public transport- No problem.
On arrival the gentleman on reception welcomed us, confirmed we could leave the car and even apologised our room wasn't available this was at 10.15am. We received at call at 10.00 pm just confirming we were ok, and that the night porter would let us in.
On checking out we asked if it was convenient to leave the car in the car park while we had a walk around Kingston. - Again this was no problem.

Good customer care is hard to come by but this hotel certainly knows how to deliver this. We would certainly book again when visiting London.

Accommodation clean, room spacious and as described on the website.

Room Tip: Book room at rear.
