“Excellent food in a non pretentious pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2014 NEW

Four of us had a sunday lunch here and the food was amazing. Great selection of Vegetarian choices and absolutely loved the veggie nut roast so much so that they let me have the recipe.

Great place for a meal out friendly staff, great services and outstanding food, highly recommend and the value is exceptional.

Will definitely be going back.

“Best pub in Farnham”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2014

I have been several times to this pub both with friends and family. It has great food and wonderful atmosphere. Basically the best pub in the area - small car park is the downside.
I would recommend it to anyone.

“A warm welcome and very good pub food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2014

This was a lovely, warm place on a cold evening.
The building is a traditional old pub with lots of wood and every member of staff was friendly, enthusiastic and helpful.
The food was well cooked and presented - a cut above usual pub fare. I especially recommend the garlic mushrooms.
We hit on this place almost by accident, being unaware of its good local reputation, and will definitely be back.

“Friendly local pub, good service, good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2014

We have visited this pub/restaurant quite a bit over the years, but the new(ish) owners are doing a great job. The food is excellent, service is good and the atmosphere in this ancient timber building with an open fire is very welcoming and friendly. There is always a buzz - even on week-nights and the Sunday pub quiz is fun and friendly.

The pub is not "posh" but it is after all a local village pub with wooden tables, and benches in some places. There is a garden for the summer months and the pub is not far from attractions such as Alice Holt and Birdworld inone direction and Farnham Town centre, and Farnham Park in the other.

“Comfort by a log fire with a glass of mulled wine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2014 via mobile

I had supper here with a friend. Not been before and I was attracted by claim of home made (not 'cooked' or 'prepared') food. Lovely supper with very attentive service. Enjoyed the opportunity for smaller portions. Atmosphere relaxed. I have not had proper parsley sauce for a long time. Recommend booking.
