While we booked our table and had really looked forward to Sunday Lunch based on the reviews we did leave before looking at dessert or coffee because it became claustrophobic. Good menu, simple food, the garlic mushroom starter was more like a mushroom sauce on bread but the roast pork and veg redeemed them! Very friendly staff, cosy is a very good description however. The eating area was either heavily overbooked or the management just couldn't say no and the result was a very uncomfortable atmosphere as families with small babies and toddlers tried to negotiate space. As one family finished their meal, another family were moved from what had become totally unbearable at their booked table to the newly vacated table. If you are planning to visit, scout it out first as the building does not lend itself easily to pushchairs or similar. If you are booking in advance and there are four of you ask for one of the benches by the back window. We hope it doesn't become a victim of its own success. If you are lucky enough to be here on a quieter day, enjoy! At the very least pop in for a drink... It is a little gem, literally!
