“Honest home cooked food in a proper pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

There's always a genuinely warm welcome here and a wide choice (usually 6) of a good variety of real ales. Sunday lunch is offered in small, medium or large. We found the medium was more than enough, and very sensibly priced. There's usually some on-street parking nearby, but at busy times notice the narrow entrace to the side of the pub which leads to a car park. There's also a pleasant garden beyond the car park for those sunnier days. Though we're both meat eaters, we noticed the specials board offered some good looking different choices for the veggies amongst you!

“Great local pub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

I really like this friendly locals pub in Eccleshall. I've eaten here on quite a few occasions now and the food has always been good value and quality pub grub. Can't fault it.

“Yummy Sunday lunch :-)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

A lovely, traditional Sunday lunch shared by us and the two boys, in old English pub surroundings. Food was realistically priced, with a choice of 3 plate sizes ( really good for smallest son). All four plates chosen were cooked well, (just like real home cooking and not microwaved :-). (We were unfortunately overcharged by £10.00 on the credit card bill but think that was a mistake by the bar staff). Other than that can thoroughly recommend the experience for 'good home cooking' at an excellent price.

“Excellent food and pub!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

For us this is by far the best place to eat in Eccleshall.

We eat here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. There is
an excellent range of food to choose from plus changing specials, including
Staffordshire Lobby and all very reasonable priced.

The pub itself is always very welcoming and warm with a good selection of real
ales, (Titanic, Hobson’s and guests) and a log fire during the winter months.

The food is all homemade, well presented and served by friendly, efficient staff.
The chips are excellent and go very well with the freshly beer battered (skinless)
fish which is a must!

Sunday lunch is highly recommended and is available in small, medium and
large portions which are ideal depending on how hungry you are - and you need
to be hungry to do justice to the large portions!

All in all, if you’re in Eccleshall and want a great meal and good beer, don’t look
further than the Bell!

“Good pub food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

High Street pub that is busy on week nights and at the weekends.
Good basic menue with all english favourites topping the bill. The fish and chips here are cheaper and better than the local fish n chip shop!
Food stops being served on Friday night at 8pm so its always best to grab a table early doors before the drinkers arrive.
Sensible prices but eating conditions in the pub can be cramped.
