Stayed here last week to visit national arboretum. What an excellent choice. From welcome to departure(all too short!) the hotel ticked all boxes what a guest should expect.
Room was perfect, clean and well stocked with little extras (built in ironing board, chocs, morning paper)
Breakfasts were almost worth the room rate alone. Fantastic omelette on second morning served by friendly and efficient staff.
WE WILL RETURN!!!!!

Other than having trouble finding the hotel, which was our fault, we enjoyed our night at Three Queens.
We had a suite, which was huge. It is spread over 2 floors, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs and living area downstairs. Room was clean and had everything we needed. It was very quiet, so we had a good night's sleep.
Had a drink in the bar before dinner which was enjoyable.
Ate in the restaurant for dinner. They were busy the night we were there, took a while to order and took a while to get our food. However the wait was worth it. Really good food and pretty good value for money.
Breakfast was good, freshly cooked, and was served quickly, which suited us as we needed to head off early.
Would recommend the Three Queens as a good hotel to stay at.

As a New Zealander I think the Three Queens Hotel is very English. Stayed here three times since 2010. Great English breakfast (kippers in butter!). This hotel has style; the Victoria Suite is fabulous.

Room Tip: The Victoria Suite is large and beautiful and very good value for the price.

Just got back from a Groupon weekend away with my friend. Everything about it was excellent. The staff were so friendly and happy to help whatever time of the day & evening. We loved the fact we were left a chocolate on our pillow each morning as well as the free hot drinks and choice of newspaper delivered to the door in the morning. In the deal, we received breakfast and a three course meal each evening which I have to say was fantastic both days. There was a great choice of food. The drinks we had in the evening to accompany our meals were well priced.
All in all, we had a really good weekend away and would definately go back again and recommend to friends and family:)

I was recommended this hotel as one of three options - I chose this one as it was closest to the venue I was holding an event at (The National Brewery Centre). It turned out to be a lovely choice. On first impressions and from the website, it looks as if the hotel perhaps needs a bit of TLC in terms of a refurb, but on the other hand, its appearance fdoes add to the character.

The lady on reception was very friendly as we entered and showed us to our rooms. I was in the Mary Suite; I had only booked a standard room, so that was a nice surprise. The room was again very lovely with a four poster bed, quite 'oldy-worldy' but nice and clean.

We booked a table in the restaurant that evening; it was very quiet but the waiters were very nice and helpful and the food was surprisingly much better than I had expected. I went for the steak.
It was only quite a brief business trip visit, but I would definitely stay here again if I was ever in the area, for business or pleasure!

our mum and dads 60th wedding anniversary celebration , a 3 course dinner for about 50 to 60 people. room looked very nice but my sister had done most of that . the big problem was the meal . initially the first course seemed to go ok with waiting staff being polite and helpfull but when the main meals started coming out it turned into chaos with bits of meals coming out to some tables half cooked vegetables arriving at others , gravy boats arrived at our table 5 mins after they had eaten the meal while others still waited for theres. some of the waiting staff started being a bit rude. loud arguments could be heard in the kitchen between kitchen staff and waitresses, very dissapointing. the bar staff were also a little unhelpfull at times and at one point took money for drinks even though the bar had been paid for, when questioned she said she thought it was a tip.the three queens may be ok for the odd meal out or weekend stay but think carefully before booking it for any large or important familly gathering.

Stayed at The Three Queens Hotel last weekend on a Groupon Deal and had a most enjoyable time. A very quick and easy check in by the lovely Roxy on reception and shown to a room on the top floor. The executive double room had a king size bed (two singles put together) and was quite spacious. The downside was the bedroom was looking out onto the main road and the traffic noise was a problem throughout the night, as it probably was for most of the bedrooms, as the hotel seems to be in the middle of a traffic island. The decor in the bedroom was a little shabby in places and could do with some TLC, but this does not detract from the overall ambience of the hotel. The bathroom was quite modern and had a bath, with your very own rubber duck and a nice powerful shower over the bath. There was the usual toiletries and a hairdryer(the type you get when you are abroad). No you are not drunk when you feel the floors and stairs are sloping in the hotel as this is just part and parcel of the character of the whole place. You are greeted in the morning with a complimentary newspaper and room service bringing you a complimentery, tea, coffee or orange juice before going down to breakfast. The breakfasts are all served to your table and everything is cooked to order from an extensive menu and was very good indeed. The bar area has sofas and coffee tables in keeping with the period of the hotel and the restaurant is decorated nicely with a decor befitting the olde worlde feeling of your surroundings. The two evening meals we had were excellent, both very tasty and piping hot with all three courses served by very friendly and courteous waiting staff. Yes we did have to wait quite a long time between courses, but the meal was well worth the wait.We enjoyed our stay very much and all staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient, especially Paul, the restaurant manager, Paula, the waitress and Roxy on reception. This hotel is well worth a visit if you are in the area and I am sure you will receive a lovely warm welcome from all the staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the main road if you want a good night's sleep.
