“Lovely building great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Just back from a lovely meal. First time we have eaten here but will not be the last! The ambiance was lovely, staff courteous and food excellent! Think I have had the nicest chips ever (just like Mama used to make). Prices very reasonable - £10.00 - £16.00 or there is a fixed price menu for £12.50 for two courses.

“Simply the best restaurant in Burton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Every time we visit the Winery we have excellent food served by friendly & helpful staff. It may be a little more expensive than some places but its well worth it for the extra quality. The layout of the restaurant creates a warm & welcoming environment & there's also a decent bar to get a pre or post dinner drink

“Never Again!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2012

The focus in current marketing is customer-experience at every interaction with a company - The Winery should take note - or their customers will not get past the front door! My husband and I visit the winery frequently, spending approx £90 on 3 course meals and £30 on other evenings on pre-dinner drinks before heading elsewhere for food. Today - after a day of Christmas shopping, we arrived at The Winery for a drink. It was 5pm, we were wearing tidy clothes, but trainers (still tidy) - one of the doorman was perfectly happy to let us in - the other was not. It appears our shoes were not in-keeping with the atmosphere - at 5pm! Eventually he let us in, but after such an unfriendly welcome I decided I would rather go elsewhere. Instead of just letting us walk out, this doorman decided he was going to re-start an arguement and was very rude and obnoxious. This little-Hitler has put us off going for good- why would we spend our money in such an unwelcoming place - especially when '99 Station Street' is just as good if not better for English food, and 'The Dial' has just as an extensive Wine List, but it appears a far nicer atmosphere. Not impressed!

“Lovely way to finish Christmas shopping!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

We went on a Monday afternoon just for a snack but on arrival the Xmas menu was being advertised and at £17.50 for 3 courses before 4pm this seemed like a bargain not to be missed!! We decided to eat in the bar as everywhere was quiet and it was comfortable. The food, as usual was beautiful and the service was really good, better than we've experienced before here. Really good value for money, will definitely return.

“Great place to wine an dine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Every time we have eaten at the winery, the food and service have been first class. Whilst you pay a little more (compared to most of Burton`s restaurants) the difference is small and well worth it. The setting lends itself to warm and welcoming in the winter, whilst in the summer its large garden and terrace makes it a fantastic place to soak up some rays with friends. The range of wines and quality of the food makes it, for me, the best place in Burton by far and I`ve not come across anywhere else so far that betters it.
