We visited the establishment Lower Micklin Farm for two nights due to it being close by to Alton Towers. The Farm consisted of 4 cottages which were immaculate. The premises were fantastic and only 5 mins away from Alton Towers itself!!! There was superb cooking facilities, DVD player and TV. The owners were extremely pleasant and easy going and there was a nearby shop with all you need for the stay. There were also nearbye pubs and restaurants. I would recommend this establishment to anyone and I will certainly be paying the visit there again.

We stayed at Lower Micklin Farm Cottage 4 and it was superb. Very clean and friendly, clean towels everyday. Very close to Alton Towers which was why we went. The cottage had central heating which you could have on anytime you wanted, great after a long day at the theme park. This is the second time I have stayed there and will be staying there next time we visit Alton Towers, highly recommend it.

We stayed at Lower Micklin Farm in Cottage 1 for our visit to alton towers. We were very pleased with our choice and would like to recommend this accommodation highly.

The location is perfect for visits to the park but also the village and surroundings areas are beautiful, very scenic, picturesque and peaceful.

We were very impressed with the accommodation at Lower Micklin Farm. Our cottage was lovely. It was modern, clean, well equipt and very well kept. The rooms were spacious and there was everything you would need for your stay.

The staff were particularly helpful, efficient and friendly.

We would highly recommend this accommodation and would definately stay again.

Just returned from another amazing trip to Alton Towers, my second stay at Lower Micklin Farm.

My friends and I stayed in Cottage 4 once again, and cannot fault anything at all. The cottage was spotless, towels changed each day, tea and coffee available, plus everything you could ask for in the kitchen (including a drawer full of take away menus!!!). Tracey (the owner) was as accommodating as always, on hand to assist when needed, or even for just a chat about your day in the park.

Alton Towers is only 2 miles away, so we were able to leave the cottage at 9.15 and still be at the park in time for the gates opening! Staying so close by was ideal after a very very long day in the park, the perfect distance to just nip home for a shower to cool down (we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather yet again!).

There are BBQ facilities at the cottages if you fancy taking advantage of the weather, or a fully equipped kitchen if its not quite as nice. Alternatively I would recommend Tracey's own pub and Pizzeria in Alton. There are a handful of pubs only 10 mins walk into the village too.

Uttoxeter is a 10 minute drive away, with a great range of restaurants (would recommend Frankie & Bennie's!), so you have plenty of choice locally.

I would truly recommend you try Lower Micklin Farm if you are planning a trip to Alton Towers.
