I would not say overall it's a bad place to stay, just huge opportunities to improve. It starts with a shower that's almost impossible to work, it also kept running after switcged off, then refused to give up any cold water- ever. The TV was the size of a postage stamp.
We stay away a lot and really enjoy peacefully Sunday breakfast occasionaly without the kids and with the papers. I asked the owner for Sunday paper when we arrived on Saturday. No problem was the response as was the paper on Sunday. When I had the nerve to ask politely for it I was told she was far too busy to get them nice, and that I should enjoy a walk to the newsagent.
If you enjoy a good relaxed Sunday breakfast don't stay here. The room is tiny and the chairs tables are massive with far too many of them. You have a strict one hour (8.30-9.30) window, with more guests than seats. the house was nowhere near full, so I only imagine the nightmare of more guests. The selection is poor and don't what ever you do ask for anything other than fried or scrambled eggs or you will get the sharp cutting response of 'We don't do poached eggs'. How hard can it be to have a pan of hot water! My sister made the mistake of asking what type of tomatoes does she uses, also recieving a blow off statement of 'I cook on an Arga!! Which has little to do with the question. They constantly ran out of bread, not a huge problem as the toaster should be put out to graze. Also juice was very limited in supply. It you like HP sauce, bring your own.
Bottom line, you can find better, cheaper, keep going.
