The White Hart is a proper village pub. The menu is traditional, the highlight being the Pies for which the Pub is famous, they are homemade and have featured in national publications.
Great place as well to pop in for the lunch time menu, which covers all bases and will not break the bank.We had lunch which consisted of freshly baked baguettes, salad and cheesy chips, all came to less than £15. The baguettes were well filled and there are a variety of fillings available.
The natives are friendly, they have a range of Real Ales and Ciders (I think there is lager for those that must!) which rotates from time to time. Sadly though no Dark Ales, which would be a great addition to the range.
Men - if it's your turn to cook (or you just need some brownie points tout sweet), they do take away for all the menu! You can pop down, have a pint (rude not to!) then sneak back home in the back door and plate up your hard work....!
