Charming country house, warm and comfortable where owners Primrose and Simon couldn't do enough to make sure of a most pleasent stay. Breakfast was a good hearty full English with quality local ingredients. When next in Frome this will be our first choice.

We recently spent a weekend here. Both Primrose and Simon couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Room was good, dogs were friendly and it was fun to see the bantams running around. Breakfast was excellent, fried bread an indulgence!

We found Trudox Mead to be everything we imagined from a farm-based BB, including some excellent hospitality from Simon and Primrose!
The kids loved playing with the dogs and running around in general. breakfast is really organized with the 'selection sheet' with choices, great idea! The electronic shower is a great improvement over other BB's we've stayed in.
We only had some small issue actually finding the farm, since you need to keep on driving after the pub, I expect it depends which direction the GPS guides you there.
great stay, really enjoyed it!

Primrose and Simon are wonderful hosts and I really enjoyed my two night stay at Trudox Mead, a 'proper' family country home in a pretty Wiltshire village. I stayed in a large, airy, very clean, comfortable room and was served the best scrambled eggs I've ever had for breakfast! I highly recommend.

Our third visit to this lovely B&B was with our son and his young family, visiting from the States. Simon and Primrose were kind enough to welcome us during the Christmas break, and the children absolutely loved it. They were anxious to learn about all things British, and our hosts met their every expectation, answering questions with patience and good humour. They also went out of their way to accommodate a serious food allergy, for which we were very grateful. As usual, the rooms were excellent. Thank you!

What a wonderful few days away we have just had at this friendly B&B. Primrose and Simon are the perfect hosts, full of great local information and happy to allow our two children to help pick eggs and pluck pheasants with them. The family room is warm, clean and comfortable with fluffy towels and drinks facilities. There are open fields at the back of the house with horses and pheasants galore. We enjoyed a bike ride to Nunney to visit the castle and a day trip to Longleat. Stourhead National trust property is close by and we also had lunch in Mere with a walk up Castle Hill which has amazing views for miles. Our dog was made very welcome, sleeping in their kitchen and was even taken out with their own dogs for an evening stroll. I can't imagine staying anywhere better, we will certainly be back.

A very enjoyable stay in the family room at Trudox Mead. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the hosts are very helpful. Thank you both for the home made maps to find our way from the house to our chosen places of interest - religiously followed and they never let us down.
The family room is very clean and has everything you need for a stress free break. The bathroom is spotless and seems to have an endless supply of hot water, thanks to all the solar heating panels. Thoroughly recommended and would book again without hesitation.
Thank you.
