“Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

Neil is the perfect host. He was constantly smiling and always on hand to offer any assistance we needed. The absolute icing on the cake was a lift to and from the Orchardleigh estate where friends were getting married.
We had the T room and at £70 per night we thought it was fantastic value. The four poster bed was so comfortable that we didn't see past 10:30pm on the first night! The breakfast was lovely, locally sourced produce on the table every day.
I highly recommend this B&B. Thanks again for the wonderful stay, Neil.

Room Tip: Four poster bed, ensuite shower room and a view to die for. Choose the T room, you won't regret...

Just want to thank you Neil and Denise for being great hosts. We were made to feel very welcome and you were very accommadating at very short notice. The rooom was spotless and the breakfast with the eggs from your chickens were the best we ever had. Wishing you the best success in the future with your B&B. We would highly recommend anyone wanting a B&B experience to stay here. Noel, Ciara and Sean.

My parents, my sister and I had to find somewhere to stay at very short notice, we phoned very late on a Friday to book a room for the Saturday and Neil was fantastic and very understanding.

He was very pleasant and accommodating when we arrived and made us feel right at home. The house has a lovely country cottage feel, even though it's very big. My sister and I had the twin room and it was clean and comfortable. Our bathroom was huge, and again, extremely clean. Our parents had the double en suite room and they were very happy with it.

Neil was an excellent host at breakfast and an absolute pleasure to talk to. Breakfast itself was very fresh and delicious.

Taumata is close to a lot of attractions and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to Bath especially, as the city itself can be very expensive to stay in. Taumata is quiet, friendly and excellent value for money.

I stayed at Taumata in the summer - had a lovely quiet sleep, superb breakfast and Neil (the owner) dropped me off and picked me up from a wedding I was attending at nearby Babbington House which was a lovely touch. Great service all round really as they were very flexible and friendly hosts. If you're going to an event at Babbington house, don't waste your money on the more expensive options in this area - stay here instead and you can't go wrong.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2010

My husband, baby daughter and I stayed at Taumata for three nights in mid July due to a family celebration in the area. We really cannot fault this B&B at all.

Neil is so friendly and accommodating - always around to assist whenever required and able to answer any questions on the local area and things to do.

The breakfast was excellent with a full English provided every morning when we wanted it along with a large choice of cereals, toast, yoghurt, fruit juices, tea and coffee. Neil even allowed us to take our daughter's high chair into the diing room so she could eat her breakfast along with us.

We had the 'T-Room' which is the largest of all rooms in the B&B and contains a four poster bed and en-suite shower room. Neil and Denise also provided a travel cot for our use at no extra charge which was a great help.

Denise is a childminder by trade and looked after our daughter during the evening of the celebration, again at no extra charge.

It's service like this that makes a stay so memorable and we are so grateful to Neil and Denise for making our stay so pleasurable and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this establishment to others.

Needed somewhere to stay while diving at Vobster. You can't get much closer than this! We were made very welcome. The room was lovely and big with great views and everything in it that we could have needed. Neil must be physic as I was about to ask for some water when a chilled jug of water arrived together with a flask of milk for a cup of tea, perfect. Plenty of parking and a lovely little pub just round the corner which served good food. Couldn’t have wanted for any more, thank you :)
