First things first - the negative aspects of staying at Westermill Farm are minimal.
The welcome was a little cold, though we felt it was simply down to staff being busy on a bank holiday weekend. We were greeted promptly and given all the info we needed to find a pitch and the toilets - what more do you really need when camping?
The main thing counting against Westermill Farm is the shop. The website specifically points at an ample supply of BBQ foods, and whilst sausages do indeed fall under such a label, the fact that they are frozen put paid to any ideas we had of lighting our BBQ. There is a microwave in the shop, though whether campers are welcome to use it we couldn't say. It's just info that's lacking here, and if we'd known about the fridges on site then this wouldn't even make our review. We came prepared to use the shop to it's fullest, and found it so lacking we had to hit the supermarket.
We only make this point to inform others as the site in general is almost perfect in every other sense.
Scenery is epic, facilities are clean and fault free, the river running through the site is wonderful and the accessible seclusion offered by the location created the perfect place to unwind.
Of paramount importance to us was how welcome we felt with our dog, and Westermill Farm was ideal in this respect. Walks begin from the site and you are instantly in the middle of Exmore. It was simply stunning.
We can't wait to go back.
