“Higher Riscombe - the perfect getaway.”

Found Higher Riscombe just after it had "officially" opened via a internet search. The website descriptions sold it to us (photos went on after we had booked) and the gamble of booking a place with out knowing what the rooms looked like was well worth it and lived up to the descriptions.

Rachel and Dan are excellent hosts. Nothing was to much trouble. Breakfast was excellent and just want the doctor ordered to set you off for the day and the perfect cure for the morning after a wedding.

Room (Redstone) was excellent - comfy large bed, spacious bathroom (large bath and walk in shower) and with delightful views of surrounding farm land. We also loved the quirkiness of the farm - flickering lights due to the generator and the cockerel in the morning - a rural getaway in all senses.

Shame that we could not spend longer but would definitely recommend as a base to explore Exmoor and the surrounding area or just a getaway from the hussle and bussle of daily life.

Well done you guys. Keep up the good work and best of luck with all your future plans. Hopefully see you soon.

“Real farm luxury”

This place is exactly as it describes itself - luxury B&B. Rachel and Dan were terrific hosts, and the house was lovely; better than a hotel experience by far, very clean, superb fixtures and fittings, great food.

We have two children (4 & 7) and they loved it - including Tetley the dog who would have come home with us if the Kids had had their way.

We have no hesitation recommending Higher Riscombe - we had a wonderful time and will be back next year.

“Our Exmoor Experience”

Our time at Higher Riscombe Farm was as stated pure luxury from the king size bed with the goose/duck down duvet to the bath robes and luxury bathroom. Very clean and very cosy !

The breakfast was excellent the best we've ever had, everything very fresh and very filling.

The hospitality was second to none, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome nothing was too much trouble. We will be back to stay with you guys.

“So relaxing at Higer Riscombe B&B !!”

We would like to say a big thank you to Rachel & Dan,

for a short but 'very' relaxing stay at Higher Riscombe B&B in Exmoor.

We could not have asked for a more sumptuous, cosy & classy B&B, in a beautiful & very peaceful setting, welcomed by a sentinel row of conifers & pines bordering the simple yet elegant gardens.

The genuine hospitality shown to us was second to none, a rarity in the fast paced world we live in these days!

Top class delicious breakfast, don't miss it!

Oh & if you are fortunate enough to have clear skies at night (as we were) then you will be bowled over & treated to the majesty of the Milky Way & the heavens above with an array of stars that you could almost reach out & touch!, thank goodness street lights do not spoil this experience.

Higher Riscombe B&B has our stamp of approval, we very much look forward to returning.

We gave you 5/5 as there is no option to score you higher!!

1st Class!
