'Word of mouth' will ensure that this wonderful B&B (and optional extraordinary evening meal) will be an outstanding success so experience Streamcombe while you can! Good luck, Ian and Karen, and thanks for a memorable stay. We'll be back ... if you've got room for us! Neil and Sue.

From the moment we arrived in this beautiful place we were made to feel very much at home by Karen and Ian. The room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and every little detail had been carefully thought about: the sheets were fine Turkish cotton, for instance; and great shower! The food was wonderful – we didn’t want to go anywhere else for dinner! Breakfast was superb, and they even provide packed lunches, which we would also thoroughly recommend. Everything possible was either locally sourced or home-made, like the delicious sourdough bread.
We can’t speak too highly of this place and we look forward to our next visit when we know that we will get the same warm welcome.

The owners, Ian & Karen, made us feel incredible welcome from the outset.

The barn has recently been converted to three rooms, and the rooms (we have a sneaky peek in one of the others) are incredible. The room was stayed in was first class. The room was very cosy, the bed was massive, the bed linen was quality, the bathroom was first rate, and the room had all the facilities you would usually expect of a room - tv, (and freeview which was a nice touch), tea/coffee making facilities etc.

The food is all sourced locally, and the food was amazing. Ian is a very accomplished chef, and his breakfasts are amazing.

Ideal location/setting for a romantic weekend away, or just a break from the stresses and strains of a fast life. Situated in the beautiful countryside, surrounded by trees, a stream, fields and wildlife. Perfect.

Highly recommended. We will definitely be returning, only this time we will be going back in the summer with our mountain bikes.

If only all B&Bs were made the same. The husband and wife team who run this gem by Exmoor have set a new level for other places to strive for. Ian's food is sublime from the freshly made sourdough bread that makes the best toast for breakfast, to a perfectly balanced offering of two choices for each course at dinner. We stayed for 4 nights with our 6 year old daughter, who was made extremely welcome and even had homemade tortellini for her supper on the first night - made even more pleasurable by being able to watch Ian rolling the pasta through the window in the conservatory which allows a view of the kitchen activities.

We found Streamcombe on a web search looking for a B&B for one night on our way to a hotel. It looked and sounded so special that we decided to spend all 4 nights there. We were so glad that we did.

What a wonderful find, from the moment we arrived my wife, mother -in- law and myself began to unwind as we drove along the lane towards Streamcombe Farm.
We were warmley welcomed by Ian and Karen with a pot of tea, coffee and a peice of apple sponge which Ian had made that morning.
My wife and I stayed in the Valley Room, and mother- in -law in the Stable Room which was perfect as she had no stairs to negotiate.
The room and ensuite was very clean, bed very comfortable.
The food prepared by Ian was exceptional, after a delicious breakfast each morning we would walk down the lane before going off exploring Exmoor for the day, we even saw a beautifull Stag in one of the fields one morning.
Dinner was superb, equal if not better than many fine resturants.
We will definitely be revisting.
