We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Warrens village holiday park. We opted for the 2 bedroomed chalet on a self catering basis for our family of four. On arrival the park was very quiet and pretty much remained this way throughout our stay. Although we were out and about by 11am and didn't return until 8-9pm. The chalet itself was very basic and I have included some photos to illustrate this. Warrens village is exactly what it says on the tin and not a scrap more. They could have made some small additions to assist visitors like, an iron, mop and bucket, extra pillows and a hoover within the chalet, after day 2, our carpet could have done with a hoover. On arrival our chalet was clean but had become home to quite a few spiders and cobwebs which felt unkept. It would also be nice to have a little play area for children, this may add a bit of atmospher to the place.
We never saw a member of staff at the park apart from check in, I did pop over to Angelina's restaurant to ask for some extra pillows but it was closed and no-one was around. This could be a plus for some but others may feel a bit lost so its good to be aware. There is plenty to do in the area, Westen-super-mare is full of the usual beach, amusements and restaurants. Whilst Cheddar gauge offers nature trails, caves and cream teas. Clevedon itself has a lovely vintage beach, nice and quiet but lots to see and do.
All in all we would return here now we know what to expect but the place is a little tired. For a family business they are obviously trying their best to make the place nice for their customers but it could definatley do with updating and a lick of paint here and there.
Our chalet was just by the entrance and looks like one of the older ones. I slept really well, felt...
