“Motorway services hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago NEW

This is a motorway services hotel with all that implies, it is busy with traffic coming and going all night. I stayed here prior to the refurbishment and it is my view it has been done fairly well, and embraces the Travelodge doctrine basic but comfortable. The new beds ect. are very comfortable and as a consequence I sleep well in them. On the night we stayed a big storm blew through and since I did not hear a thing I can only conclude they rooms are fairly sound proof.
If you you want value for money then TL will deliver, if you want more, then you will have to pay more.

A fantastic break from a long drive,Ham disabled and use Travel lodges regularly. This was well up to my expectations, the staff helpful the room very bright, fresh, clean just what you need after a long trip, being disabled the parking rooms are perfect there are lifts to all floors,I would not go anywhere else the prices may appear a little more expensive but the whole room package is worth it as you get what you see,

The fresh new image of Travel Lodge is not being supported but them allowing smoking at the entrance doors. The situation is worse when it rains and smokers used the entrances to shelter.
The new beds are comfortable - but not worth the increase in room prices

On the upside, the hotel was clean, comfortable and the member of staff I dealt with was friendly. Check in was simple, once I had actually got someone's attention to deal with me.
On the down side tea/ coffee making facilities were not met to our needs. And because it's only a small hotel, there isn't much choice for eating within the complex.
Overall a very comfortable stay

What a clean comfortable place to stay. Quality beds and linen. Everywhere clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Quite a different experience from other branded places we have stayed with. A basic but well priced stopover stay. No hesitation for us in staying here again.

Booked two rooms, one for wife and myself, one for my son and his wife for two nights visiting family. Rooms were cold when we arrived, our bath had a stain line round it. In my sons room was one towel and a very small part of a toilet roll, the toilet rolls were the cheapest you would be able to buy. Both rooms had, plastic cups for glasses, two cheap china mugs with spoons stuck in them. The extractor for Burger King was outside our window which was loud and if you wanted to open the window you got the smell from the fan. I got 30mins free internet accesses then had to pay £3 for 24hrs, the second time I wanted to top up it wouldn't work. To cap it all both rooms tv's reception was so bad neither of us watched a whole programme. The rooms were sparse with one plastic chair, they used to have settee's, not anymore. When booking they said this Travelodge had been newly renovated and upgraded. LIARS

We were travelling down to North Petherton for the Carnival and the Travelodge was convenient for our stay. Travelodge has made a lot of improvements since we last used them and have to say the rooms were much better. It was very clean and you also get tea/coffee making facilities. It is very close to the Motorway and it is a service area so it can be a bit noisy but we expected that. There is free Wi Fi for 30 mins but has to be used all at once we went out after using it for 5 mins but on our return could not go back on as time had elapsed and you would have to pay. Other hotels we have stayed at allow you a certain time but you can use it at your convenience over a 24 hour period
