“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Stayed here for the fourth year for the speedway. Lovely large rooms, comfortable beds, clean and well equipped rooms.
Breakfast was great but you do need to pay on top of your room rate, but worth it.
Staff excellent and attentive.

Room Tip: We had room 104, large spacious room, big bathroom, room 101 the disabled room excellent facilities...

Stopped for one night on the way to the South West. Ideally situated just off the motorway. Arrived at 9.45pm and check in was quick with no fuss. The pub had finished serving food and we just had a drink in the bar before going to bed. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Tea tray and hairdryer provided. Good quality clean towels. We paid for breakfast which was very good. Fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurts, pastries and full English. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our toast went cold before we had eaten it and they offered us some fresh hot toast, but we actually prefer it cold. Just one small thing, I'd have preferred the fruit juice to be more chilled. You can hear the traffic going past but this wasn't a problem with aircon on and the windows shut. We would stay again.

This is the second time that we have stayed here in 2 years. If you're a speed way fan it's ideal. Our rooms were spacious and spotless, my parents' room
Was newly painted. Staff are friendly and efficient. Tea coffee and biscuits in rooms were plentiful.
Our meal was superb too, tender ham hock with mustard mash, pan fried fillet of salmon and the best Baileys cheesecake that I have ever eaten. Their chef certainly knows how to cook delicious food. Serving staff too very conscientious, will definitely be rebooking for next year

We have never used the accommodation as we live local, However we regularly frequent the restaurant, Only once have we ever had to ask for something that wasn’t quite right (a under done steak) which was corrected without any fuss, the price of a steak sauce and cheese garlic bread was knocked off the bill as a good will gesture, without asking.
We moved to the area some 5 years ago, but only visited the Fox and Goose after some three years, it is now regular favourite. Good Food, Good Service, Good Atmosphere, Good Price, what more can you want, Thanks to all at the Fox and Goose.

This hotel is extremely good value for money. Situated just off the M5 motorway near Burnham on Sea / Highbridge at Junction 22 of the M5 it is in an ideal location for holiday makers or business travellers visiting Burnham on Sea or Weston super Mare.

The lodge and the inn are basically separate buildings. The original Fox & Goose Hotel dates back to the 18th century and the dining area has several photos of what it used to look like in the early 20th century.

The Fox & Goose is a 2 star hotel but in actual fact it probably deserves a higher rating than this. The restaurant is open in the morning for breakfasts and also for evening meals. It does get quite popular in the evenings as it is frequented by the locals. The food in the restaurant is very good with generous portions, well presented and tasteful cuisine on offer.

The rooms are spacious and modern. They are comfortable and very clean and tidy. Tea & coffee facilities are provided and the rooms have all the usual creature comforts. Internet access is free here and it worked reasonable well during the 2 day stay. The rooms have air conditioning.

The parking facilities are excellent and even though the hotel is on a busy road there is not much noise from traffic. The garage and car sales showroom next door has a small shop and you can pick up your newspaper there too.

For the morning breakfast you get a choice of continental or English breakfast. The English breakfast is particularly good but starts a little late at 7.30 am which is OK if you are not a business traveller. Due to an early start I had to miss breakfast on the second day whereas the extra half hour would have been just right had it started at 07:00 am. The fire alarm did go off in the middle of the night on one of the nights for some unexplained reason but it was quickly re-set and sorted out promptly.

The staff are friendly and efficient and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We normally stay at an excellent B & B in Burnham on Sea but they were full and recommended the Brent Knoll Lodge. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent, the staff were most helpful at all times and the food at the restaurant next door was exceedingly good and very reasonably priced. I often judge an hotel by the was the little things are sorted out. We did have a couple of "blips" but it only took a word and the staff sprung into action and problems were solved.

The breakfast was a choice of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts and fruit. With a choice of virtually anything hot as well even as far as kippers to which I am quite partial.

An excellent weeks stay, quite out of the blue. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

We stopped for 6 nights and it was fantastic. The staff were superb. Nothing was to much trouble. They went out of their way to please. We had an enormous family room even though there was just 2 of us. They also had air conditioning. We had a couple of problems but they were corrected immediately. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as bottles of water and a bowl of fruit put in our room.
The restaurant Fox and Goose is right next door, we had a meal which was smashing, and nice to be able to have a drink after a long journey and not having to drive
Breakfast was loads of choice with cereal and fresh fruit. We had the choice of what we wanted to have for cooked breakfast, even to having a kipper on Friday.
Fantastic stay and will certainly go there again

Room Tip: We had room 202 and if they are all like this one you won't be disappointed.
